Think he's a class act,was made a scapegoat too quickly at the start of the season when the full team was poor.

Great game. Wants to create and split defences with his passing. Superb wee lift to Izzy for the first.

Don't know why people don't seem to think Johansen and Commons can't play together. Play between them tonight was excellent.

They can but if you have that then the team changes completely.

With a 4231 you'd have to shift one of the two out wide, which doesn't suit either of them. Plus you'd have to drop either Forrest or Stokes which shouldn't happen.

The team would be far too slow.

Commons got Man of the Match out right tonight. Him and Johansen were swapping around like * but it was exciting to watch.

You seem to be operating under the delusion that Forrest would be available to actually play.

Aye but we lacked pace in the final third, we played well up until that area then the play just totally slowed down.

When he is fit he should start. I know it's not that often but whenever he is fit. We should be looking to sign a winger in this window to provide back up or even start regularly.

I think pace is what we lack, big time.

Honestly I thought he was just decent. Sure he runs his heart out but personally I think his final ball, passing quality and composure is hit & miss. Does not posses the quality on the ball that Commons does. He can be developed into a very good player but for instance the one that dropped to him in the box in the first half, he delayed & delayed so he could take it on his left foot when it was wide open for his right & the opportunity passed there's also far too many instances of suspect balls into the channels or over the top when the ball was never on. That in my opinion is poor quality. His energy is top drawer his ability on the ball is only decent imo, therefore he will continue to have his good and bad games.

Not the way I saw the game at all, we were much quicker in the final third tonight, we moved the ball far quicker, especially in behind the defence.

The park definitely helped, with the ball zipping about quite freely.

His link-up play and interchanging of positions with other players is very good. Very selfless team player. He did a lot of work tonight that really allowed Commons to shine.

It did but he spots the early ball, how many times did he play Matthews in? Or play between him and Johansen, or Henderson?

It's usually the play between him and Stokes that you notice it most as well.

So hard working and energetic. Can also spot a pass brilliantly, although he can be guilty of forcing the world cup pass at times when he could keep it simple.

All this talk of Commons, Forrest, Johansen, Stokes, Henderson tonight...It means one thing, It means we have options which can only be a good thing. Thats not even mentioning Wakaso, McGregor, Tonev, Derk, Berget.

He always does mad whipped looping passes, like the way Beckham used to take corners/cross freekicks, where he skims the side of the ball and the ball goes high curling into the air - hes really accurate with them too. Noticed it a lot this season.
