Well the relevance was that he referred to Hamas as being nearly as bad as Al-Qaeda and I countered that by suggesting that was an exaggeration, but they are still a very questionable group. As the bulk of his post had been dismissed out of hand, I was offering a different perspective.

Isn't that the point of a forum?

His post got dismissed out of hand because the premise was "Hamas are out to destroy everything Western".

    That is incorrect.

As I have said I have no problem with you arguing your point of view whatever it may be. I just think it didn't make sense to post it in response to the post you quoted.

I seriously have no idea what you are on about mate.

He and everyone else has a right to comment on the Palestine/Israel conflict, as believe it or not it affects all of us.
Epically people from the North that can sympathies with what is happening to the Palestinians as it happened to Nationalists for decades since partition.

Fair enough - you're concerned mainly with that line, my response was more about the comment in respect of Al Qaeda. I probably should have bolded that part when I posted.

I hated Ariel Sharon with every fibre of my being. It is at times like this I wish I could believe in an afterlife. My hope is that he is joined in an afterlife with the thousands of his victims, from Qibya, Shatilla and Sabra. It would give me immense pleasure to know that the thousands he killed or allowed to be killed, would have their revenge for eternity.

This man was a monster, and his passing is a blessing to the rest of the world. I only hope his years in a coma and his final days, somehow, were filled with pain.

I think of the Frankie Boyle "joke" aimed at Maggie Thatcher when I think about him.

I was all for a public funded cremation... Untill he died.

Neither Hamas nor Hezbollah held Terry Waite captive, it was Islamic Jihad. Lebanon was a country in utter flux and turmoil, filled with Sectarian and inter faith hatred. The turmoil was in part created by Sharon and Israel, and it could easily be argued that they were very much to blame for the conditions that ensured foreign visitors were in danger of kidnapping.

Neither organisation are terrorist groups as the Western media would have you believe. Both groups do however attempt to protect their respective communities against Israeli aggression.

i know nothing or next to nothing about the middle east and i don't want to . but after reading some info on wiki . you are hiding hamas and hezbollah . it was them . islamic jihad as you call them are not a geographical organisation , that is just a name for world wide muslim terrorism. no matter where they come from .

these arabic / muslim organisations have been responsible for for most of the worlds atrocities over the last 20 years . i think lee rigby died in the name of islamic jihad . and what a horrible way to die . 9/11 , 7/7 madrid , bali

israeli aggression . . persecuted for 2 thousand years by , well just about everybody . the worst being the second world war . they have a dozen near neighbours who want them dead , and want to take their country.

of course they're aggressive . . and don't forget if the arabs ever get the big bomb . israel is the first target . so a wee cushion for us . leave the jews alone they are our best friends
