    You can't compare the two situations, there is no discrimination againsg Heterosexuals. 'Coming out' is a big thing in that persons life, for a person in the public eye, in a sport such as football (that does leave you open for some amount of abuse) then it is a bery brave thing to do.

    It should be a case of 'so what' but it's not. Can anyone name 2 or 3 other high profile footballers that came out of the closet? Or any that it was known about from the start of a high profile career? It would be absolutely ripped to pieces in the stands by the fans and everyone knows it.

    It should be accepted and a general, who cares? But it isn't. Homophobia isn't dead.

    People always say why should they have to come out and tell people they dont HAVE to if you like men who gives a * . And to say its no accepted now i dont realy believe that any more . And i was taking the * i just dont think it is a big deal now he has retired he should have done it during his career and told any one with a problem to * off

    I think people have it wrong when they talk about "progress", have they stopped to think that the many gay footballers out there just don't see their sexual orientation as having any relevance in the public domain?

    Who was the last footballer to publicly announce their heterosexuality?

    For example, if I wanted to pump Kylie Minogue, you'd rightly say I have no chance. But if I was gay and wanted to * George Michael, I'd just have to hang around Hampstead Heath after dark.

    I never says everbody in the world likes gay people . There had been alot of improvement in the way they are treated * they could not marry any where at one point and you are talking about some places that dont do it yet .
