Me and my mate like to have the odd chuckle at pointless managers (especially english ones) who are consistently praised for minor things such as 'experience' rather than results. Who are your pointless managers, then?

    I'll start. Jimmy Calderwood.

Jimmy Calderwood done really well with Aberdeen I think, constantly up the top end of the table and had a European run with them.

I think he means those that seem to be regarded higher than they should be.

    Harry Redknapp.

I don't think Arry ye know Redknapp should be considered a pointless manager.

    He generally does quite well.

I'm sure Birmingham and Hull fans would disagree.

There are hundreds of more pointless managers than him for me. He's been a success wherever he's gone.

About 10 consecutive finishes from 7th to 14th with Charlton, then he left and not long after they were in League 1.

Bolton, Blackburn and Newcastle were all relegated after Allardyce left.

Hughes led Blackburn to top 6 and 7 finishes, the Uefa Cup and 3 semi-finals.

Pointless managers are people like Tony Adams and Stuart Pearce.

Even * ones like Megson have done well for some teams. The worst managers soon get found out and either don't get another manager's job, or go work in Brunei like Steve Kean.
