A lot of people get a lot of grief for wearing football tops in public. Some say that a grown man should never wear a jersey unless he's going to the grounds. What are your thoughts on this? Do you wear football tops on other days besides game day?

I try to avoid it when I can. One thing I do wear on a regular day is my scarf. It looks nice with my flight jacket.

Nah. Not even on gameday tbh.

I don't have a problem with grown men wearing them though, although walking about with the full kit is a bit odd.

I'm just not forking out £40-50 on a glorified t-shirt.

Only to be worn if you are under 14 or are playing 5 asides, any other time is unacceptable, match days included

Even if you're going to the football grounds?

    What about scarves?

The only other top I wear other than my 5 or 6 Celtic jerseys is a celtic t-shirt....

Don't see the problem with it ? They're comfortable as *, start conversations a lot and you show your loyalty :icon_mrgreen:

Nah, gutted to be honest. There are some lovely tops - I used to love wearing them when I was younger.

Wear them mainly around the house. Got a vintage Clydebank top I wear to bed on these cold nights.

Sometimes, nothing wrong with wearing a top if you're sitting about the house or taking the dog out for a walk, is there?

Here in the States, I wear it occasionally and feel like an ambassador for Celtic as most people here are completely clueless about what jersey I am wearing. So I sometimes get an opportunity to introduce people to this great club :50:

    Hardly unacceptable wearing one? :56:

Wear one when playing and quite often wear one around the house.

Gameday, the gym, kick abouts, fives... not in public. Used to wear my shirt at my local on old firm days because the pub was pretty split, good laugh. That is as far as I'd go though.

All the time. I've 4 vintage football shirts and they look cool as * and are comfy as *.

Great for hoose parties, instantly look sounder than somecunt in a shirt.

But more on topic to what this thread is trying to get at I don't see a problem, it's a top ffs
