i like him, but some of his tactics are daft, think he will grow as a manager, but not sure how he would do outwith a club like celtic.

I was meaning that more in the way that he always gets criticised for him being a bit tempremental his first season here but nobody ever points out the pressure he was under and what lead to some of the behaviour. No man is 100% in those circumstances.

Utter nonsense. People don't like him outside of the club because he's an Irish Catholic, pure and simple bigoted minds.

That is nonsense, It certainly isn't the view of everyone. There are people I know that are not fond of him because they only see him in the news kicking off at referees, as when it happens it's basically front page stuff. Not everyone is a bigot.

If he wasn't an Irish Catholic he would NOT have been booed every time he got the ball as a player. There is your argument defeated.

It is certainly where the majority of the hate came from, and the worst cases of abuse towards him. But you can't tar everyone with the same bigot brush.

They are not sprinting onto the pitch in the same manner Lennon did.

I grew up in the Highlands and studied in Edinburgh for 2 years, study in Glasgow now. I can tell you now, if you think bigotry is the reason he is hated across Scotland you are very wrong. Bigotry isn't a problem in the Highlands. People don't like him because they don't like Celtic or thought he was a dirty player.

That was not the reason he was booed, he was booed because he was the type of player that opposition fans loved to hate.

Then why does Scott Brown not get the same treatment?

Just unbelievable some of the posts being made here. If you think Lennon would have still been booed if he wasn't a Catholic you have been successfully brainwashed by the MGM.

I had the privilege of meeting him in Las Vegas (Celtic convention) when he was a player and trying to buy him a pint was probably about as futile as trying to get spellcheck to say something positive about Celtic

The guy is a complete Provo and the fact he only replies to good-looking burds on Twitter has only enhanced my respect for the man :icon_mrgreen:

Come on mate, I hardly think a media corporation have had anything to do with the treatment of our manager.
