Forrest played if you're talking about the 1-1 game. McGeady played in the other one.

Even if McGeady's Irish, he's not really a foreign player, especially to Celtic. Unusual for there not to be any Scottish players though.

    There's always one...

Anyway, I'd prefer a fully foreign team, no Brits.

For every Kevin Doyle quoted at £3m - which we didn't pursue - there is a Kris Commons for £350,000.

For the people keen to labour the point that the English Leagues are over-rated and over-valued, it is a vast generalisation. While the likes of Henderson, Rodwell, Downing, Young etc cost the earth, the likes of Forster, Matthews, Commons, Wilson and Hooper were over-looked by Premier League clubs, and Celtic took a chance and were rewarded in both performance and financial terms.

When buying abroad, for every Wanyama there is a Rafael, and for every Boruc there is a Gravesen. Some work, some don't.

I think that Celtic should really work on bringing in and developing more homegrown talent.

But obviously a mix of foreign and UK/Irish players is what is best for the club.

It was the robbie keane debut game and yes McGeady did play but technically he isn't a scottish player.

He had said that by "all foreign" he meant no Scots or Irish.

We should be buying the best players available to the club, it's as simple as that for me. If that means the guy is British, then fine, if it means the guy is a foreign player, then fine. We shouldn't be looking at it one way or the other. There would be plenty examples to back up reasons for either to be fair.

Not sure if this has been said before.

In the Champions league you must have a certain amount of "Home Grown" players in the 25 man squad.

However "Home Grown" does not have to mean Scottish players, or even players that have been developed by Celtic.

So as long as we take the best home grown talent from within the SPFL, as well as growing our own talent, in order to meet this quota, I'll be happy.

Celtic should sign only the best players available (realistically) whether they are British or foreign.

Ideally, obviously it is always good to have a good few British players.

nationality has nothing to do with being homegrown, Bahrudin Atajic and Leonardo Fasan for example, are classed as homegrown at Celtic despite being Bosniak/Swedish and Italian respectively.

Would yous swap Mouyokolo, Izaguirre, Lustig, Biton and Rogic for Pressley, Naylor, Fox, Pearson and McCourt?
