seroiusly? why? have you ever seen scott cuthbert play in the spl?
have you ever seen scott cuthbert playing for his country at * level?
and what if o'dea never played as well as he did, and then he put scott cuthbert in, and hey presto- he aint as good as o'dea who was picked ahead of him in the first place

 

The fact is O'Dea did play well
Cuthbert would have got some experience .

yeah, and like you said, he had just broke through so what if he never played as well and cuthbet wasn't better than odea.
and if were not playing against drogbas every week then what dose it matter that he signed pressley as back up? or at all for that matter.

if caldwell , odea and or mcmanus is injured yes i'd be happier with the experience of pressley than with an under 21 with no first team experience for celtic at all. he also helps the dressing room he has experience at the top level. internatinal.

 

I said from the start signing Elvis was a mistake. He's a donkey and should be made into Kennomeat.
Bobo is much better, but Caldwell should be in instead of Pressley.

Caldwell is a nightmare at right back. He can't play the position, if you're not going for Wilson then we need to sign someone else.

 

i had high hopes for wilson... but he seems very injury prone....yep i'd sign a real decent player who can deliver a good cross.

 

He would never be captin and he has some cheek, only two people i think it would be are Boruc or McManus.

 

Cant see it either if it does happen though there will be a lot of unhappt celtic fans

 

i dont think he'll be captin either. i think it'll me mcmanus.and wont be happy if it is pressley, he has the experience and he knows what hes doing hes just not a player i want to see playing 40odd games a season for us. defo not boruc as you idealy need a guy in the middle of the park as a captin. what use is boruc telling the strikers what to do?

 

I think WGS was right to sign Pressley when he did, with only 1 fit centre half in January who was very inexperienced. He saw an opportunity to snap up an experienced SPL defender for nowt.

At the time he was being courted by Charlton, which is why he got an 18 month deal instead of 6 months.

However I think that we are pretty much all in agreement that now we have JFK back, and with McManus and Caldwell fit he should only be used as cover, and certainly not as captain.

In short, he was a short term fix and should remain just that.
