I agree. The English media have created a sort of 'perception' of Celtic. I believe a lot of our support, myself included to an extent, have bought into this image/perception. There are a significant amount of people that follow the EPL, the majority I would go as far as to say, that believe Celtic would be fighting relegation if we were in that league. 'Championship standard' I believe the term is.

You know what I say to that? * them. We're bouncing back, Europe. :50:

We were fantastic when we didn't have the ball and poor when we did have it.

That was stupid by Brown but never the less a awful decision by the ref and Neymar rolling around like a fairy. Grade A tw*t.

Overall, I actually think we performed better this year than we did last year against them.

We restricted them to far less chances for one. We had two great chances to score within a minute, when Valdes saved the shot from Forrest and Mulgrew narrowly headed wide. Their goal was totally against the run of play and we simply didn't get enough players back in time to defend before Fabregas was left with an easy finish.

I really wish we were going to the Nou Camp next to be honest, but ah well.

Neymar is a dirty slum lurking rat. I hope his makeshift favela shack collapses on him and he gets impaled on a piece of metal.

It looked to me like the players did not want to push forward when we had the ball, afraid of getting caught out of position and open to a counter attack.

No it hasn't :smiley-laughing002:. They are quite obviously a world class side with a huge amount of world class players in their team.

the more an more I look at it I still think Brown was harshly dealt with i'm afraid.

Again I can't see that as a "kick out" at the player. I've seen kick outs before and im sorry that just doesn't come close to a kick out, Neymar has felt a foot brush his back and his reaction looks more and more like the reason coupled with (now that I've seen it like 10 times) Busquets reaction to it, the reason the ref put his already out yellow to a red.

the ref was weak the whole game to be fair, personally I had a few gripes with his decisions before that incident and agani, IMO I thought he was easily persuaded to change his mind.

Only Brown will truly know if, in that moment he had a petulant flick, if he did then its a poor personal choice in the moment but its not convincing enough for me to make Brown the scapegoat here as I didn't see it that way.

The fact everyone walked away from that game knowing we should of taken at least 1 point against for me the 2nd best team in the world is brilliant progress. Defense is rock solid Ambrose and Virgil are a cracking pair and big fraser with his shovel hands is excellent. Just need to play the simple ball, too many times Sammy,Mulgrew, Commons, Matthews would try and do too much or go for the hard option, feeling very confident for Ajax at home, they are poor away from home.

Mate trust me I think the rules are *. However, it will be classed as violent conduct (I know) and the way football is these days, it was a red. I would prefer if the refs were allowed to show a bit of common sense but with all these fannies in the stands analysing every turn, he had to give it. In fact, I think he will be marked up for that decision by the powers that be.

we've actually been extremely unlucky in both games now. On the positive side it's still all to play for

Outside that incident, I can whole heartedly say im proud of the way the bhoys played tonight, they gave their all and more and its unfortunate the way the result played out.

But i'm confident we can still do something in this group, Ajax have lost 2 real key players from their side and I know, we lost hooper wanyama and Wilson but I don't think we'll be affected by that loss as much as they will be, we've seen how good Eriksen has been for spurs and losing alderwield to Atletico, I don't think they are the team they were last season, they're definitely not the team that beat us 4-0 in pre season 2 years ago and neither are we.. i'm more optimistic tan I was this time last year anyway
