Ledley has been dropped for a few big games. Rangers a couple of times, Spartak Moscow at home off the top of my head. i think he takes a while to move the ball on because he's so one-footed.

Could we get away with Brown and an attacking midfielder in the middle in this game ? I know it's slightly unorthodox but do we really need two battlers in there when this mob will have 11 men behind the ball ?

Just blindly name a few Celtic players

Excluding Samaras, not one of them has a good scoring record in Europe.

 

Was looking at tickets there. Why is it the lisbon lion uper is closed again?

 

I read an interview in the Metro earlier with Shakter manager, Viktor Kumykov, saying he's watched every Celtic game this season - including pre-season - and noticed the same tactical defensive mistake occurring every game. He stated that his team set out to exploit this recurring mistake while attacking.

However, it's difficult to know if he has noticed something which hasn't been addressed by those in charge or if it's mind games. We've played with several different defences since pre-season so surely it's unlikely that there all making the same error, but you have to ask how we conceded so many goals so easily throughout pre-season to German 2nd division teams. He might just have said it to attempt planting an element of doubt into our defence who as we know were completely unexperienced playing together and have played next to no first-team football nevermind in a European game.

 

The attendances haven't been selling out so rather than scattering fans throughout the stadium they closed that section (replacing it with a banner) to condense us. It looks more aesthetically pleasing than lots of empty seats together. It makes doing the huddle easier too and keeps you warm during the wintery summer nights we get.

 

Also means less stewards, less kiosk staff, less police, less turnstiles etc etc...

Hopefully the LL upper will be getting open though, considering the rest of the stadium is almost sold out.

He's clearly talking about the ball in between the centre half and full back. Primarily on the left side.

We do make the same mistakes a lot, but I hope he isn't considering himself a tactical genius for noticing this. Every team should be scouting their opponents before a match, anyway.

 

If he thinks he can work out our defence then he is a * genius

 

So you really believe the likes of Ambrose and Lustig are the ones that will fire the three goals in we need?

 

If ambrose had a normal shaped head and could direct a header id be confident in him scoring 30+ a season with the amount of headers that fly over
