Ok what is the debt then because as far as I was aware celtic owed something like 0'8 million before we sold 20 million of talent and got in champs league again.

I don't know the exact figure. The interim report showed a lot more than that, of course. Selling players and CL money doesn't go directly to debt, it has to cover many operations.

We are NOT debt free. No club official will tell you that either.

We are very stable with a working debt.

No it doesn't. How many league 1 players have made a direct step to the Premiership in recent years? There's plenty of ex-SPL players.

Lawwell has done business shrewdly again. He and rest of board have got us where we are today financially.

They have signed several players and may sign more.

It's about the right players, not names.

    As many as possibl.

Obviously only those who are currently at Premiership teams and came directly from league 1. Not via promotion to championship first. First team players too, not youth players.

I didn't read your second post. I thought you were suggesting we were on the brink.

Why not ones via championship first? What's problem with them?

Chris smalling went from Maidstone to premiership!

Well, I thought it would be rather obvious.

If we're comparing the number of players who have gone from league 1 to premiership to the number who have gone from SPL to premiership, the results would likelyu be very skewed by the fact that one group of players has direct access to the league through promotion.

Besides, you said league 1 players were better, not championship players.

Yeah several are better. This guy for starters.

Plenty spl players go down and vanish or come straight back up.

More spl players leave for leagues outwith premiership of course

Really think if we sign Tomlin that we are showing a lot of disrespect and lack of belief in to Tony Watt. Watt has scored at a higher level than Tomlin already and from what I've seen of both, watt has far more potential. £1.2M should be the furthest we go imo.

And yet you have named 1 player.

I could name a team of players who have gone from SPL to EPL.

But of course they're still of a higher standard :smiley-laughing002::rolleyes:
