We have signed a few players already who will be first 11 for CL.....and may sign more.

I heard the Commentator on Talksport during the Palace game having a pop at Celtic for putting a bid in during the match.

Peterborough United have rejected three bids from Celtic for forward Lee Tomlin.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson confirmed the Scottish champions have so far failed in their approach for the player, who was substituted at half-time during his side's 2-0 loss to Crawley Town on Saturday.

Ferguson said news of Celtic's interest unsettled the 24-year-old, with one bid being made while his side were on the pitch.

"The third bid arrived during the game," he told the Peterborough Telegraph. "If that’s how Celtic want to do business that’s up to them, but it didn’t do Lee any favours.

"I’m not angry at Celtic, I’m just stating the facts and people can make their own minds up about what’s gone on.

"The first bid they made was a waste of time anyway. They can’t have watched him much over the past few years if that’s all they think it’s worth.

"He’s not going anywhere anyway and he knows that. We have great experience of clubs bidding for our players and they never leave after one bid."

Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony also criticised the approach on Twitter.

"I used to be a Celtic fan," he said. "Not after today. What a day."

Tomlin moved to Peterborough United from Rushden and Diamonds in 2010 and has made 138 appearances, scoring 39 times.

He netted a hat-trick against Reading in the League Cup in midweek, taking his tally this season to six in seven games.

I'm not an idiot. I did not say not insinuate that we should or would look at having 16 CL level players. I'm talking about signing 1 that is good enough to be a part of the pool of players who start and sit on the bench in our champions league games. 11 starters and what 7 subs? So 18 players. I want ONE that will be good enough to be one of those guys, be it on the starting 11 or on the bench with something to offer if they are subbed on. * me.

We have signed a few players that will be CL players already.

 

I'm a shareholder. I've no evidence that our debt has been wiped out.

We are very comfortable but not as well off as some suggest.
