    A mix of what I have heard/read and my own gut instincts.

    I have been right on nearly all of our signings since Strachan left. Hope I am wrong on this one!

    Welllll lets see,rather Finbogason but Pikku sounds like he'll score goals which we're lacking a lot.

    If we have signed Teemu Pukki I look forward to watching him in the hoops. That`s what I love. Watching a player you know that he`ll be a Bhoy. That said he`s going to be tagged as a japanese anime characters because of his name.

    Be careful with that!

    Pikku = "tiny" in Finnish
    Pukki = buck (the animal)
    Joulupukki = Santa Claus

    Someone said the 3M price tag seems a bit high? I don't agree. Schalke bought Pukki for 1,5M before there was any guarantee that he'd be Bundesliga level. I think he has showed that level during his stay in Schalke and at the same time on international level. A promising future prospect can go for 1,5M, but certainly someone who's already proven himself and is approaching his best years should go for more than that.

    Very excited about this, let's hope it's really happening!

    Cant believe how innacurate that is. Rangers play in the SPFL League 1. :bbpd:

    If you're going to be that pedantic: it's actually named "Scottish League One" not "SPFL League 1".

    CELTIC have clinched the £3million signing of Finland striker Teemu Pukki.
    Schalke star Pukki will fly to Glasgow tomorrow to seal the deal.

    Hoops boss Neil Lennon is also confident of landing a midfielder in 48 hours.

    Celts struggled to draw with Caley Thistle yesterday and it took goals from defenders Charlie Mulgrew and Adam Matthews to rescue a point, underlining the team’s need for a new striker.

    Pukki will not be eligible for the Champions League crunch against Shakhter Karagandy, but Lennon hopes his arrival will hand his squad a boost.

    The Northern Irishman has been trying to tie up a deal for Finn Pukki for two weeks, but Schalke, who have yet to win any games in the Bundesliga, had refused to sell.

    But now they have and Pukki, who has eight goals from 37 appearances for Schalke, will get his dream move.

    Pukki has hit six goals in 24 games for his country and is highly-rated by Finnish boss Mixu Paatelainen.

    OUT .. kayal injury woe
    : K\Kenny Ramsay - The Sun Glasgow
    A cagey Lennon said: “We are looking to get one deal done over the next few days.

    “We have another player’s representatives in on Monday, so we are hoping to get a deal done there too.

    Woes “I am hoping we will have two players in by midweek. One is a striker, the other is a midfielder.”

    Lennon’s injury woes piled up as Beram Kayal limped off against Caley after 22 minutes.

    But the Hoops boss is confident Georgios Samaras and Kris Commons, who both sat out yesterday, will be fit for the Shakhter game.

    Lennon added: “I am hoping Sami and Kris will be available.

    “They are looking optimistic about things.

    “James Forrest is probably 50-50. We will have to see how they come on in the next couple of days.

    “Anthony Stokes has a grade-one calf strain and is doubtful.

    “Beram is out. He has got a groin strain, he felt it pop during the game.

    “Virgil van Dijk got a wee bit of twinge as well from his hamstring.

    “So we are really stretched. But it is what is and you have got to get on with it.

    “I was really disappointed with our performance today.”

    It's all over the Finnish media now, but they're all relying on the Sun story. Well, they have to do it for the clicks I guess...
