Yeah, that's exactly what we're all saying. No one gave that British beggar from London a ton of condemnation in the other thread, did they? Wait, we were told that we were wrong to be critical of him as well.

For your information I have been skint and homeless before and I done everything I could to get back on my feet.

Without begging off people. Anyway most of these people are not as skint as they make out they obv get benefits and probably have a house or a hostel they live in ( especially the immagrants as they are well looked after )

I was brought up in posso I would see junkies leave there houses and then see them in town begging with a homeless sign. There jakey basterds who are in that situation because they decided to be drug users instead of normal human beings

 

You cant claim benefits when your homeless as far as i know.

 

You only need an address to use for mail that's all. I'm sure a long lost cousin or even an old friend who never had space in house for them would let there mail be delivered there and use there address to help them get cash.

Also as I says it's highly unlikely that they are all homeless

 

True, alot of them arent homeless from what i have ever seen.

Its just a bit * up that the truly homeless cant get no help from the state when they are on hard times.

 

The ones there talking about in the report in the OP there's team's of them up to 15 who regularly get on my bus pulling out smart phones having bus passes, laughing there heads off and get off in govanhill.

Quite shocked at some of the * in this thread.

Firstly, specifically to Jungo, immigrants do not receive "£300". Legal refugees who are given a home have their gas and electricity paid and that is all. They are given absolutely nothing else and by law cannot work for at least 12 months. So called illegal refugees receive nothing. Does it surprise anyone therefore that some take to begging? (Also your comment about "junkies" choosing a life of drugs/crime is unbelievably naieve and immature and i'll post more on it when not typing on a phone.)

There is quite clearly some immigrants who are now exploiting their fellow immigrant, quite clear here in Govanhill with prostitution. I think it is very likely that there are relatively well off people organising these scams and sending poor people out to do the dirty work and they for certain will be given a pittance of what they make.

If people are getting this angry about beggars then I assume they must be up in arms about the current looting of the public by the government? How is it that this level of anger is being directed at people with tragically hard lives yet those with more than I could ever imagine are allowed to remain in power?

Think a few here need a reality check or need to read something which isnt so biased.

A baby has just been born that will steal millions straight off of you, but never mind that. Someone has just been given 40 pence and they're not even homeless. Lynch mob to meet in town tommorow?

Easy target.

Just like the *-esque leaflet shoved in my letterbox last month calling for all residents in my area to sign a petition to 'remove' the Roma that was living in and around parks etc. Causing little or no problems whatsoever. These people were (yes they have since been removed with force) dirt poor.

The same area that has entire streets that are empty for 50 weeks of the year.

I myself have been unfortunate enough to have found myself in situations where I had zero, nothing, in my earlier life. Thinking on it, unfortunate isn't the word. I regard it as a fortune now, as I'm able to relate.

 

Show on sky 2 just now regarding the very beggars ,i just cant understand why you would move to a different country to sell the big issue and beg

 

Perhaps it has something to do with the decade after decade of persecution? Or the living on rubbish tips.

The eastern European in Glasgow right now are nothing but dirty low life arseholes who are in about everything ( drugs , rapes , prostitution ). Granted not all are over here to steal everything they can but a fair few are.

I have never hated anyone before until I started to see what these * are up to.

Before anyone starts there racist * I have no problem with any other immagrants who come here and work and contribute it just seems we have a right bad bunch of eastern Europeans over here. Bet there own country is glad they * off haha

 

I think being uber liberal is somewhat blinding you here . There is money to be made and begging is what they do best ,id say that is the reason.

 

I'm not liberal mate. Far from it.

Lets just ignore the tyranny and torture the Roma to this very day suffer as a possible reason for them wanting to leave Romania etc.

 

These scams make me worry for the people that are actually homeless and have no money.
