He's a wee poacher, would grab us goals. I'd welcome a move for him on the cheap.

I think he could end up like Kris Commons. I don't think many on here thought he was going to have as big an impact as he has done since signing - I certainly didn't. Maybe Sharp would be able to up his game.

Good players raise their game. Commons and Hooper both exceeded expectations. Commons has become one of the main players in our squad, in the league and europe

He had scored 13 goals before he signed for us and he had a cracking left foot. Sharp got 11 goals the whole season in the championship and he is a forward.

Only time he has hit 20 plus goals was in league one years ago. He is not good enough to replace Hooper at all.

I agree with you. I have always said Sharp would do a job here. Some folk on here want the Celtic to spend money on a striker from a foreign league. Wee Billy Sharp from the Championship doesn't wet their appetite. The posters dismissing him as ''*'' and ''not good enough'' are only showcasing their lack of football knowledge.

If we get him and Pukki, I would be extremely satisfied.

I think signing Sharp would be a good move now. He may not have much more to his game but he is a natural goalscorer and it's clear right now that when we aren't playing brilliantly, that's what we need.

We even appear to need him in the SPL, where everyone agrees that he will do a job. *, he would have scored against Elfsborg and probably Karagandy. I'm confident that on Wednesday we will go in all guns blazing and create loads of chances. Will we score them? I don't know, but I'd be much more confident if we had a guy like Sharp in the team.

His burd is on Twitter saying he has a better goal ratio than Hooper when he came here. Apparently shes from Edinburgh :39:

Same id be happy with Pukki, Sharp and Biton from who were linked with.

    Forster
    Lustig Van Dijk Mulgrew Izaguirre
    Commons Brown Ledley Boerrigter
    Pukki Sharp

Zaluska, Ambrose, Mouyokolo, Matthews, Kayal, Biton, Rogic, McGeouch, Forrest, Samaras, Watt, Stokes and Balde

Would be a decently strong squad again.

Youd hope that Van Dijk, Biton, Boerrigter, Pukki and Sharp would be enough to fill the hole of Wilson, Wanyama and Hooper.

If as youd imagine Pukki is the player of more quality. Sharp would be great to have to play with Bobo or Watt or Stokes in the preceding League game to rest Pukki and also to play in the Cup games.

He's an average striker, he'd get goals up here but I don't think he'd be as good as Hooper

When was the last time celtic spent big money....2001.....???
When was the last time celtic signed a * good player.....2011.
Wish fans would stop judging players on the money they cost.
Agree with you most fans think pounds=class.
My mate used shout about this guy when he played for wed utd so i will judge him on his goals and not where he playes or what he costs.
    If we sign him.

Pretty obvious all you say is true. But if he'd be competing to be 2nd choice then he is good enough.

He's a similar calibre to players like Stokes, McDonald, K.Miller, Boyd and that who always do well in the SPL - id actually say he was slightly better than all them - they I would say are 18-22 SPL goalscorers and 12-14 Championship scorers, Sharp is probably more of a 20+ SPL goalscorer and 15+ Championship scorer . It's always good to have guys like that in your squad instead of the likes of Balde and Watt who we dont know of yet and cant afford to be 2nd choice.
