    Long may it remain that way. Ledley has shown that he is interested in staying longer term and I would love to see Matthews around at Celtic long term as well.

    Me too.

    Lustig is a decent defender, but lacks that pace, drive and energy that Matthews has. Adam basically plays as a winger nowadays.

    We all talk about Wanyama and Hooper going for millions.....Well this lad is only 21 as well and has the potential to be a top top player.
    Him and Ledley are 2 signings I still look at and go..."we got them for * all!!!" haha.

    Two excellent pieces of business.

    It's amazing how little a budget we've had to work with in the last 2-3 years, yet we have still managed to put a squad together capable of negotiating two separate two-legged CL qualifiers with relative ease, beating Barcelona, and then getting through a group with two great European clubs in it.

    The only way is up under Lenny, and with John Park as our chief scout :50:

    Well with Ledley he's a top earner, but think how much we would have had to pay? £6million? £7million? NAW......We paid * all!!!!haha.
    Matthews is also an outstanding player and I would love it if we could keep these two for years (albeit Ledley seems to have fallen for Celtic and Glasgow).

    Excellent player. Hard to believe he is still only 20. Seems to be getting better each and every week, and is even beginning to add goals to his game judging by recent outings. Nearly scored today too. I can see him being here for a good few years yet, another coup for the club picking him up for sweet * all.

    Equally as comfortable at LB which is another bonus. Given Izzaguire's form this season, maybe Lustig at RB and Matthews at LB would be better for the moment, see how it goes? I'm sure we have played it once or twice before and we looked alot more comfortable both going forward and in defence.

    How did Dave Jones/Cardiff let him go for free? He's such a class player and its hard to believe that he's only 20, * knows how good he could be.
