Going to be spending next week in Ireland.
Basically nothing is really planned except the ferry across/back.
Definitely going to Dublin for a few nights too and Belfast so we're close to the ferry home on the last night.

Anyone got any recommendations of where to go/see. We'll have a car so travelling around will be easy.
Nothing too far out the way, we'll mostly be on the east coast.

any recommendations for b&b's/cheap hotels would be good too.

done the same thing years ago. planned a 7 day road trip, staying in b+bs but the 1st day we stayed on a farm in killkenny, fell in love with the place and ended up baseing ourselves there for the next 6 days, and travelled to other places from there.

If you are in Belfast it is definitely worth a trip up to the Roddys club to have a look at the museum

Galways on the West coast nowhere near Dublin and Belfast.

Stay up north birds are far better looking, Antrim is a beautiful county up around cloughmills and Cushendall

On your way up to Belfast go via South Armagh and then onto the Mourne Mountains and take the coast road to Newcastle and up to Belfast that way, great scenery.

Think we're stopping there for a night. If we're lucky enough to find a b&b with rooms.

The above comment has made me want to change their minds :smiley-laughing002:
