Some people just don't live in the real world and cant live without the hate as can be seen in the huge zombie thread.

I grew up in a area of mixed fans...celtic and rangers and some of my oldest friends are huns and wouldn't change them for the world.

As in all walks of life yes there are * but also good guys.

There's probably confusion in this thread as to what type of hun we're talking about.

The footballing hun or the "kulchured" hun.

One is far more into "kulchur", "flegs", "cafflik schools", republicans, the Pope, the Queen and "The Rainjurs" is a wee extention to that for them.

The other is 90% about the football and the "kulchur" is an addition to the team.

Agree with the slowly part. I should have made it clearer that if they survive they won't be a threat to us for a number of years.

I've got Hun mates and the last few years wouldn't have been so much fun if I didn't.

Don't feel sorry for them in any way and to be fair they don't expect sympathy.

As a collective a really do hate them tho.

I post in the zombie thread and I admit I hate the institution and those fans who hate me because I'm a "kafflick" however I do not hate them all. Only a couple of years ago I lived with a lass who was a season ticket holder at mordor ,so dont judge everyone who posts in that thread as the same :50:

The longer we have went without them being in our league the less I miss them. Although I think our standard has dropped, the rest of the SPFL has raised their standards and made for a closer league. Rangers were a vile sectarian beast that brought out the worst in us. Some fans will want that back because it creates an adrenaline rush, and is pure tribal warfare. Recent games with the new incarnation in Govan has shown us that they are a poison ready to inflict themselves on the top league.

I now dont miss them one bit. I enjoy going to the games and dont wonder how "they" are getting on.

I fear physical carnage at Hampden.

So no, I dont miss them. Their fans are mostly deluded, even the sensible ones. The worst of them will want to draw a vengeance out of us.

    * them. Let the old Rangers rot and let the new one die.

    I'm not picky.
In other words, you only cared about Scottish football when Hun FC were alive and kicking? :97:

This season at the moment Aberdeen are 2 points ahead of us in the league; Dundee Utd and Inverness are only 4 points behind us, with Hamilton only a further 2 behind them; teams are fighting for the top 5 positions right now; we've dropped points by losing and drawing 6 matches. All that with us halfway through the season, yet it's not enough because the huns aren't in the league anymore.

    Very strange.

Never mind though. Maybe Sevco can get into the Premiership next season for the first time in their very short history so your interest in Scottish football can be rejuvenated again :50:

I think this is what * me off most. They literally DID * over Scottish football, like you say, yet some Celtic fans are wanting them "back", "miss them", and "miss the competition". How can it be a competition to be enjoyed if they * over anyone and everyone that they could?

Not forgetting that the SFA/SPFL pander to them as much as they possibly can. You just have to see what that idiot Doncaster said about them being "the same club" to see that. The SFA tried to bully clubs into allowing Sevco into the old SPL, or at worst Division 1, with their "armageddon" and "Scottish football needs a strong R*ngers" *. They even tried to intimidate the clubs into allowing the huns into the SPL saying that Sky Sports would pull out of their Scottish Football TV deal if Sevco weren't in the SPL for the "Old Firm" matches (a threat which Sky NEVER proposed at all and was all lies by the SFA).

The sooner Sevco go the way of Hun FC the better.

I have an ex hun colleague now that has become a life long West Ham fan, travelling down to games.

    A woman as well.

The real world is having your dad set upon by a group of them and beat within an inch of his life whilst his pregnant wife looks on.
The real world is being chased with bats and knifes for the crime of wearing a Celtic top.
The real world is your sister standing waiting to cross the street with her 3 month old baby in the pram and having the local Hun bus throw cans and bottles full of * at her for wearing a scarf.
The real world is every * off, angry Hun calling you a * or taig when the mask slips.
The real world is every single Hun you have ever met singing Billy boys when *.
The real world is running a gauntlet of abuse from adults as being the only taig family in the street - at 5 * years old.
The real world is being refused work because your school has 'St' in the name of it.

Don't tell me what the real world is ya condescending *.

All my best mates are huns and they're a sound bunch. There's a * ton of uneducated * talking deluded huns out there but those that don't believe you can be mates with the decent ones because they think they're all like that are living in some fantasy land.

Still doesn't make me miss their horrible bigoted club and the thought of some reincarnated mark 2 version fills me with dread primarily due to having to put up with the knuckledraggers amongst their support and their pish on a daily basis, although to suggest when it comes to mates (whom I didn't become pals with because of football) that footballing rivalries can't be put aside is complete nonsense.

Pretty much aye.As i have got older i was starting to gradually care less on a day to day basis about footbal anyway, as life had sort of got in the way.....but ive been around the block so to speak, and after all the great highs and lows ive experienced as a fan, the present situation isnt one which rekindles any kind of enthusiasm.
I do try and feed off the enthusiasm of some of the younger guys in here at times, but i start watching games with a degree of excitement, (domestic games)and generally by half time ive already made a cup of tea....channel hopped half a dozen times, and read a few threads in here.

Dont get me wrong, them coming back doesnt excite me as such, but i liked the fear factor which i dont feel at all anymore when watching domestic games.Them dropping points could make or break my weekend, as could us doing the same. Now i shrug it off pretty quick. When they lost a game, id buy silly amounts of newspapers, listen intently to the phone-ins etc, and generally be in a good place............now.......meh.So no i dont miss them as such, as i said, but i miss aspects of what the rivallry entailed.

If others dont, fine...its each individuals own call and no one can really argue.
