They got on pretty well at Coventry Jonny.Strachan signed him to replace Keane.

 

Whoever it is I think it should be a pacey striker not another target man. Two big guys doesnt usually work. I didnt like the Sutton and Hartson pairing the year after larsson left. Cant see Bellemy or Keane coming here cause of sheer cost but they are the type of striker we need. You will get far better value for money abroad.

 

I really think you guys are setting yourself up for an upset when he goes to some bottom 3rd epl club

 

Would like him to come as he is a good player. At the end of the day do we really need another player who will come and do all his work outside the box, run into channels, miss one on ones with keepers at crucial times....

Correct me if I am wrong but we need a goalscorer, not another Kenny Miller like player (He is better, but in same mould. Even if you dont want to admit it).

Going from memory he had at least two through on the keeper against Motherwell the day we lost the league. He also wasted loads of other chances. Seems to be the same as Miller in the fact that

Too much time on the ball = Another Chance Lost.

I * well agree with you mate, I don't like him & feel he's overrated - is he playing tonight? I doubt he will get anywhere near the pitch when the ball is in play, he's simply not trustworthy enough in such an important game - if Raffa won't play him in important games, why would WGS?

Yep, the days of us competing with English clubs for sought after EPL or even good up and coming top Championship players is over except when the player is damaged goods/ a risk in some way/ really celtic mad/ wants CL football more than top money. Not many fit that bill. The risky ones are risky e.g barton.

Bellamy hasn't done well at liverpool becuase Rafa is trying to be to have the best tactics in the world which aren't working.

He needs to just play a 4-4-2 not a 3-2-1-1-2-1 or something

 

He didn't get anywhere near the pitch last night, what with AC's ageing Central defensive partnership, you would think a lightning fast proven goal scorer of "Bellers" ability would be just the thing to throw on at 60 minutes when your 1-0 down.

Didn't get close to getting a game, as you just can't trust him to deliver the goods - same at Wales!

Why would we want him?

He'd cost too much, both in money, hassel & suspensions.

I might be wrong & others probably think I am, but unless Rangers are after him I don't think WGS wants him anyway!

 

He only doesnt get a game as Kuyt, their main striker, is too similar a player to him so instead they play crouch to have variation upfront.

He scored in the Nou Camp which in itslef shows the man has quality and deserves to be back at CP.
