Robbie Keane at no point in his career would have been able to play at Barcelona, Man U or Real Madrid. Those are they types of players I would describe as world class.

Sorry Keane wasn't world class, good player but not world class for me.

 

He was a good player with a great scoring record, dont think he was ever world class although i can see where devlins coming from.

Robbie Keane was world class. Him and Berbatov at Spurs together was sexy as *. Don`t think he was given a proper chance at Liverpool either. He then went back to Spurs and was playing class again until him and Redknapp had a bust up over a christmas party I think and that was basically that for him at Spurs where he was top class for the most part

He was far more than just a goalscorer as well. Stokesy kinda reminds me of him

I think keane was world class and he'd fit in at most clubs in his prime.Inter Milan are massive he played for them its just a shame he went to Liverpool as they didn't know how to use him. He'd have been great at any other top club. He should have came to partner henrik oof that would have been great. Hh

 

Robbie Keane in his prime was not far off world class. It sickens me how under rated he is by Irish fans in particular. I doubt Ireland will ever have a better goalscorer.

 

I'd much rather sign Mrs. Doyle.

 

Haha whether Keane was or wasn't world class, were looking to sign a fella called Kevin Doyle, who couldn't lace Robbie Keane's boots.

 

Kevin Doyle would be a better signing than Robbie Keane right now, because Doyle is 29 and may get a new lease of life with Celtic whereas Robbie is in semi retirement in LA and is definitely finished.

Doyle would be worth a punt if he didn't cost much and his wages are reasonable.

 

I was meaning as a signing. We took Keane on loan when he was 29 and he scored something like 16 in 19. The discussion was wether he was world class in his prime as well, I wasn't meaning today in 2013. I do think Keane would score more goals than Doyle if he signs tomorrow but anyway.

I've said before I'm not that excited about Doyle, he's a decent to good championship player, he's more of a number 10 type as well. So if we do lose Hooper which we will, and if Doyle is the only attacker that we sign, I don't know where our goals will come from, because it won't be from him.

 

Doyle scored again today. Second week in a row he has scored as Wolves fight relegation from the Championship in England. Looks like he may be getting some form back after a few seasons of injuries and loss of form.

 

Doyle is astonishingly overrated even when he is supposedly in form. Not for me thank you.

 

He's not astonishingly overrated, he's amazingly underrated. The work that he does is absolutely phenomenal.

Should be playing for a mid table premier league club imo.

 

Hard work is not the same as ability. 20 or so goals in 4 years at Wolves is not great. You may think he should be at a mid-level PL club but clearly the mid-level PL club managers don't.
