the French Revolution was a left wing populist movement, plenty of executions.

look at the lyrics of The Internationale And if those cannibals keep trying,To sacrifice us to their pride,They soon shall hear the bullets flying,We'll shoot the generals on our own side

absolutely no contradiction in being left wing and being pro death penalty

    No, emphatically no!

State sponsored murder in the name of its citizens....no thank you.

I fear being part of a society that only sees the proper way to deal with or punish offenders is by murdering them....because its murder, make no mistake, it's murder!

I fear that it would lead us down a path that we would not want to go down.

Once it was brought in for child murder or some other heinous crime then mark my words, it would slowly start to crossover into other crimes....next thing your hanging people for protesting against governments, protest marches, theft, drug dealing!

....why don't we just give police guns? Cut out the middle man and all the expense of trials, jail, lawyers.....just let the police be judge, jury and executioner!

    Welcome to Judge Dredd!

Execution has NEVER been a deterent and never will.

I doubt it would get to a stage like the * Code again, but yes it could lead to things you're mentioning.

When did he say he makes a living from criminal activities? so what he spent 7 years inside? I spent a year inside, you don't know mine or his story or anyone else's for that fact.

You think being a turnkey makes people sleep safe at night?? :56: you are just a guy with a job with a little bit of power over some people that you more than likely abuse, stop thinking you are some sort of FBI agent.

Sarcastic comment? nah I call it back peddling now you admitted that you are indeed a *, good luck with life.

The fact that a good amount of turnkeys are have as much morals as some of the lowlifes that are locked up.

The screws betting on when an inmate with cancer would die in my wing or the screw that was * a prisoner and bringing smack and mobile phones into the jail, just because you are on the other side of the door doesn't make you the better person.

    I don't agree with that.

If I was thinking about killing somebody, I would be much less likely to go through with it if the punishment for doing it was my own death than if the punishment was 10-15 years in the slammer.

My only problem with the death penalty is how * up the legal system is in America thesedays.

I hate the thought of killing an innocent man.

That said, I think that child molesters, rapists, and murderers absolutely should get the death penalty.

I think we just need to review our legal system in aMerica and certain types of evidence and testimony that should/should not be used.

Aye coz in your rage you have time and the mental aptitude to think "nah fuckit. I might get hung for this"!

Most offenders don't think they will even get caught, nevermind think about the potential punishment.

    I'm not picky.
I do believe in the death penalty and I pretty much agree with all of the above. Unfortunately there is that worry that an innocent person would get killed through the death penalty (and I'm sure it's happened before) and that's the only real issue I have with it.

I think the legal system is pretty much * up as you have prisons that are overrun in States where the death penalty is legal and it's exactly the same in States where it's not legal. Prison's are not a good place to be probably but they are obviously not a deterrent either because if they were then the majority of criminals wouldn't keep going back.

But I do believe that people like serial killers and people who commit such heinous crimes deserve the death penalty.

I don't believe anyone should have to right to put an end to anyone else's life. No matter how horrendous they crimes they committed were.

    Remember people aren't born monsters.

You can never be 100% sure that someone is guilty so no, as much as i'd think the world would be a better place without paedophiles, serial killers etc, I don't support it.

Now that my friend is a very good topic for another thread :50:

Personally I believe in an eye for an eye - although that's not to say i would have ANY faith in corrupt judges and corrupt legal systems having any such powers which enabled them to take someone's life.

Street justice is what I'm talking about.............

You have just posted a load of complete drivel!

Go back and read the posts. It all started with someone trying to wind me up gloating about a PO getting run over. But apparently I am the scumbag for saying something back!!

You will be back inside very soon with your kind of attitude:bbpd:
