But who is going to buy Ambrose ? Would you ? Looks like we are stuck with him.

Sometimes you can tell just by looking at a player's picture before he signs that he is going to be a *. We have got a few of them in this team.

Aye but he's a Cult Hero amongst some of our gullible fans. "Aye hee duz great bak flips so he duz" etc etc. Thats GOOD enough for some, forget that nearly every single game he sells the jerseys or contributes to getting beat. as long as he's COMEDY value that'l do .

Are you actually saying that Efe Ambrose is a * because of the way he looks?

Although I am convinced that more and more posters are having a go at Ambrose because their stream has gone down so they take out their frustrations on Ambrose . Even at R B which doesn't suit him Ambrose put in a reasonable shift today and certainly wasn't the worse player on the pitch .

Scored for Nigeria the other day, 1st goal in a 2-3 loss to Congo. African Cup of Nations qualifier.

That was the 1st match of the group stage. South Africa, Nigeria, Congo and Sudan in the group.

Nigeria play South Africa tomorrow at 7pm in another African Cup of Nations qualifier.

    42 caps, 2 goals now.

I love the guy but his Celtic career is hanging by a thread with his performances this season. :54:

I'd agree, he plays far too much.

Although Efe has claimed he prefers it that way, a rest could be what's needed.

He probably hasn't had a full summers rest for a good couple years with all the commitments to Nigeria and he hardly ever gets an injury (which isn't a bad thing of course) so he's playing all year round non stop.

I don't think he's had a single rest since he joined, mate. ACON that first winter, then Confederation's Cup the following summer, then WC this summer. He's not had a single break that I know of.

Ambrose has played 101 times for Celtic (made his debut on 22 September 2012) and 20-25 times for Nigeria since summer 2012.

Crazy amount of games to have played in under 2 years.

There's a reason why footballers are given a rest once a year. He has now played at least 2 years straight (probably more) without a rest. At this point the decision should be taken out of his hands because, as I said above, his Celtic career is hanging by a thread.

People saying he's played too much football, nothing like working 9-5 5 days a week for 10% of his wages :38:
