    LOL.

So you're going to throw insults now? What a big man.

You dived in when you don't even know how a DPF functions.

Proof in the big mouths are the ones that don't understand.

    That's all great stuff.

Anyway, aye, if you do loads of short journeys and have a diesel then DPF removal is a good idea.

Big mouth? You're the one on here running your mouth off about DPF's and any other * that you can Google. Telling it like you know it all.
Have you even owned a diesel car?
Anything anyone who has personal experience of something you have argued the toss because you have 'read it on an internet forum'.

    Away and * yourself.

Typical internet * is what you are.

I like my we diesel honda, no dpf in this model, 50mpg, decent bit of oomph, 4 years in and only thing wrong is the constant drop links that the speed bumps destroy (possibly me not slowing enough) and 1 sticky rear caliper. Fully plan on keeping this car until it no longer runs, or my lottery comes up. Or possibly go on ebay drunk again...

    LOL.

Hopefully your mum is there to pick up your toys.

    You haven't got a clue.

If you don't know what you're arguing about, it's better to say nothing. You just look foolish otherwise.

My experience doesn't come from the internet. Just keep guessing and making stupid comments and insults. That's what makes top internet people.

Why is it you keep spitting the dummy out on this forum? Why all the aggression and insults when you've made an * of yourself?

I've seen a few more people opt for electric cars. There was cracking lease deals for the Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe.

They are great if you're doing short trips and cost peanuts to charge. Loads of free charge points too.

The big issue is they are useless if need to do a long trip.

The Leaf can manage little more than 100 miles range. That would suit most drivers, especially living in Glasgow.

Reading other people's experiences of running them, it looks a really cheap ownership of a new car.

They are really quiet and refined for cars that size. They are no driver's car though.

We're thinking of maybe getting one.

No. Cars are just my thing.

Electric cars just haven't taken off and they are trying to push them now.

It is leases that make sense. They are heavily subsidised at the moment.

You also have to pay a fee to lease the batteries as they are taking the responsibility off the owner. People are scared the batteries die and they are expensive.

However reading a few people's blogs, when you remove the cost of buying petrol, it goes a huge way to pay the costs of an electric car. It's a cheap option at the moment.

People got them on lease deals at £100 per month for the car and £70 to lease the batteries.

However their petrol bills have been reduced to small electric bills. Even less if you can use free charge points. It pays a huge percentage of the £170 pet month.

There isn't many cheaper ways to have a new car.

£70 a month for a battery is ridiculous. Total rip off, and they are big and bulky. On top of £100 a month for the car, and it is not a very good car, not a driver's car as you say.

What happens if the battery fails in the middle of the motorway, you are screwed aren't you ?. Too risky.

There is a reason for them not taking off.Remember the Sinclair electric car ?

It tells you what range you have left. Obviously you have to plan ahead not to get caught out.

There is phone apps telling you all the charge points. It's not as simple as pulling up in a petrol station though.

The batteries are very expensive. £70 per month sounds a lot, but that's the cost.

Most people finance their cars and barely ever stay above breakeven. PCP deals are really popular these days and people can buy cars they couldn't otherwise afford on straight hire purchase or in cash.

So £170 per month all in isn't that much. Then when you save £80-100 per month on petrol over electric, it's a cheap way of having a car.

It isn't a drivers car, but most people don't care. A car is purely an A to B tool. They are no worse to drive than many town cars, but the lack of noise is odd. That's a positive to many.

If you're only a town driver handling doesn't matter anyway.
