Lads weekend in Dublin

Discussion in 'TalkCeltic Pub' started by Bhoy., Jan 13, 2013.

  1. Going to Dublin for a weekend with a few mates, haven't been before so don't really know where's good. Any of you guys been?

Where's good to go at night? What clubs/pubs should we try out? Where should we avoid?? And what is there to do during the day? (Other than get hammered.).

  2. Bring plenty of euros its * pricey

Templebar is were most people end up...but am sure others can point you to others places

Maybe go to the guinness factory tour to ease your way into getting blitzed

    Am sure you will enjoy

Staying 2 mins away from Templebar.

  3. Stokesy's Da's pub :icon_mrgreen:
Obviously there won't be a huge anti-queen banner outside :56:

  4. Aye, don`t go

  5. This could be a better option unless they plan on seeing Croke Park:56:

  6. Players lounge been closed down for 2 years,

Ye's will obviously head temple bar cos its the tourist thing to do but others i'd suggest would be the living room on cathal brugha street, massive place with cheap drink and fills up with loads of people on weekends.

theres a place up the road from tara street station forget the name ill look it up when im off my phone
    .
You cant really go wrong with most places tbh.

Ill post more when im not wrecked ha

  7. Not a fan of Dublin at all. Belfast is a far better night out, imo. Like most of these things tho, it's the company that makes it! :50:

  8. Croke is a good sight alright but Dublin is one pricey place

If in Dublin, Croke is an absolute must see

  9. I agree with you, its a lot cheaper too but there's a few people walking about with flags whatever that's about :87:

  10. Aye, Belfast. Get a few drinks in ye and go out for a wee riot. Shitehole

  11. Haha, yea never mind just stick to Dublin for the mean time!

That being said, Glasgow is a FAR better city than both for having fun. If it's what you're used to tho, then you sometimes don't appreciate it as much.

  12. Been warned about the prices. Will be taking plenty of Euros.

Considered Belfast, but wanted to somewhere next week and it was all sort of last minute.

I live in Glasgow, wanted to go for a weekend somewhere else.

  13. HAHAHA. Sorry dude, I respectfully stick by my appraisal of both cities. Dublin is dull dull dull! (Apologies to any Dubliners).

  14. Belfast can be good if ye find the right night out. I completey agree with ye, I have been out in Dublin 3 times anjd never enjoyed it once. * freestaters are boring :icon_mrgreen:

  15. Dublin is much better for a night out than Belfast, every time I'm in Belfast the nightclubs are always closing early and your never too far away from the Huns.

  16. Dublin is a great place for the craic

  17. Went to Dublin a couple of years ago & would advise to stay the * away from temple bar area as the prices are a disgrace.

    It is a great city

  18. As long as you stay away from Temple Bar and are willing to spend a lot you should have good craic if there's a big gang of youse.

  19. You should always ask in the pubs exactly how much the pints are before you order them, some of them in Dublin are shocking prices..
