Commons Thought Barca Were Winning!

* *! Seems Chris (and therefore most likely the entire team) thought that Barca were leading when he took his pen!

Is it just me, or is that * frightening that the team weren't being kept up to speed with events elsewhere!?

They thought they were going through when, in fact, they were going out!

I heard the crowd cheering at one point in the game for no apparent reason... could that have ben the reason the players were thinking Barca were doing the business!!!???

 

As has been said it may have helped in the sense that if he knew they were drawing then the pressure on the penalty kick would have increased tenfold.

Wouldn't worry about it anyway, we done the business and that's all that matters.

 

It could have been worrying but it didn't seem to affect our approach. From the moment that cheer went up around the 55th minute mark the team were still pushing for a winner and were pushing until the last minute.

Even if they thought Barca were winning they probably would have known that it was better that we took care of our own business in case something happened at the Nou Camp.

But as a fan in the ground I was a little annoyed when I found out it was still 0-0

 

The team should have been playing to beat Spartak and concentrating on our own matters in hand other than worrying about the Barca game.

 

the reason the cheer went round was at the exact same time messi came on as a sub,m8 watched the sky extra thing were you can choose the game and when the cheer went round messi was coming on as a sub,few people must have been saying yesss theres messi going on and it grew legs

 

And another few million cry by getting injured!

 

lol he must have been told to get stripped and the tv mentioned it,as it was defo to do with this,but it spread to barca had scored

I don't understand why so many of you weere fooled though? Everyone's got fones nowadays and would have just been checking twitter, skysports, bbc ect. Or even watching the barca game on their mobile!

 

It's not the first time the crowd have cheered when there has supposedly been a goal in another game in our favour and it has turned out to be untrue. I didn't bother cheering, just checked my phone and saw it was still 0-0

 

Don't know about anyone else, but the internet on my phone never works in the stadium.

You don't really get a signal at Parkhead, took me 10 mins to get a text confirming it was still 0-0.

Got no internet connection at all.

same here it ok before game but as soon as it starts never works

 

IMO, the players should have been made aware of all the facts that would have influenced their mission to get into the next stage.

Thinking we had the 'advantage' so late in the fixture when we clearly didn't could (COULD!) have been costly!

It turned out fine, so we're all relaxed about it now, but I hope that there's been some discussion about it between Lenny and the Bhoys.

I'd rather the manager was screaming at them that we were going out unless we won!

 

I think they were probably aware that the object of the game they were being paid a lot of miney to participate in was to put the round thing in the opposition's net more times than they put it in ours...
Apart from that, there isn't a lot to it
