    wales arent represented in the flag because they were annexed into england. the united kingdom was initially made up of the kingdom of england (cross of st george), kingdom of scotland(cross of st andrew) and kingdom of ireland(cross of st patrick).

    I don't understand why councils/politicians even have to take decisions like these. Fair enough we live in a democracy a.k.a. The Bureaucratic kingdom of Red-Tape-Ia, but I bet they could have just done this in private and removed it quietly and not a single soul - whether hun or good - would have noticed.

    On a slightly related note, there has been a Scottish instead of British flag flying above Glasgow town hall (or whatever that big * is in George Sq) for a couple years now :50:
    So i've just contradicted myself because I did notice that, but faacck ittttt.
