yeah, but maybe she might think your personality is great which does add a certain level of attractiveness. That's what I was getting at.

 

that pit of the stomach feeling will start to go away once you decide you want to get over her and you proactively try to better yourself in the ways you meant to while you were with her but neglected to do.

with my ex i was stuck. I was never actually moving forward in life. I always had plans to work out more, get in shape, quit the * etc but she somehow always got in the way of that.

since i broke up with her i went from being a 2 pack a day smoker to having 4 * (not packs, single *) int he past 3 weeks. I go to the gym at least once a week and during the break from uni i expect myself to be going quite a bit more. i can now run a moderate 6 mph steady for about half an hour compared to run for 5 minutes ending in me puking when i was a smoker.

i am worth the guilt and the pain i caused when i broke up with her. I am a better man now and i truly believe this. for a while i was angry and hated myself. i was angry for breaking up with her and i was angry at myself for missing her.

keep your head down but your eyes forward and you WILL make it through this. trust me mate, it ended for a reason, and shes not worth the pain and misery not moving forward will cause

Thanks guys! As soon as I feel able to drink, I will be getting completely rat arsed. Right now even drink is giving me the boke as is the thought of any rebound!

Right now I'm surviving by working like a dog, and locking myself in my mums spare room. Got a couple of flats to view on Wednesday so I'll hopefully have my own place come new year, and can really start again.

Yah I found myself drinking almost every day for a while there. Got really depressed and it really didn't do me any good.

I was in a bar one Friday night

ok so..... looking for some advice here or experience if possible.

Basically found out my girlfriend of a few years kissed someone else at the weekend. I knew something was wrong when i saw her and upon questioning the uneasy/ queasy feeling i had she confessed the very night before she kissed someone It lasted mere seconds before she broke down in tears and i genuinely believe she feels rotten about it. i've been in a weird place but i've delt with it in my head now, we're both very young and even though i love her to bits i must confess that when i've been rat-arsed as she was, ive at times wondered about straying ( although i never have). Anyway, im still with her, and im going to stay with her- i know some people would call it crazy but i genuinely put it down to being young, stupid and possibly just taking each other for granted after a few years together.


Has anyone else moved on from something like this, and do you ever completely get over it? PLEASEEE help

 

Believe me, next time you have an argument you'll either bring it up or it will cross your mind at least.

Also do you fully trust her? Probably not.

You still can be with her, but prepare for worse times.

I would find other women, fool around with them. You still can be with your current one at the same time. Give her some of her own medicine.

 

yeah :/ i'd by lying if i thought this hadn't crossed my mind. to be honest though we dont really argue much. i've told her the trust might take a bit of time to come back, i really honestly hope it does though
