Relationship Problems and Advice

Discussion in 'TalkCeltic Pub' started by Marie, Nov 29, 2012.

  1. I remember last year there was a thread about someone who had found his wife's present to another guy and he was planning on leaving after Christmas. Wonder what ever happened there but i can't remember who posted the thread.

  2. Better late than never!

  3. :smiley-laughing002:

  4. What ever happened to the poster on here whos Mrs had arranged for a guy to come and fit a carpet but he wasnt allowed to be there when it happened lol...musta been a * carpet

  5. Aye that thread was a * belter,he was very gullible to say the least :56:

  6. I don't think he was gullible, just wanted other folks opinions so he knew his suspicions were correct.

  7. I am madly in love with a girl, who is a friend, and is well out of my league...feel like topping myself.

  8. Go for her man,you won't know unless you try!

No such thing as being out of someones league, tell her how you feel and take it from there

  9. Got to tell her man. Never know she might feel the same.
I had a similar situation a few years back. I met a girl in college. I got told she fancied me. She was so hot and I thought no chance. Turns out....I had a chance. We ended up seeing each other for a while, but since we had just came out bad relationships we didn't want to go out. We were really good friends, but I wanted more.
But one minute she wanted me, next she didn't. * me off. I told her how I felt and she was with someone else. I didn't know. Obviously she knew how I felt or she would have told me.
But at least I knew. I didn't see her as much (coz I wanted to get over her).
I eventually did, and we were still kind of friendly. But one night I came back from band practice and she came round to mine unannounced at like 12.30am. She had fell out with her bf, and told me he pushed her down or hit her.
We talked and she was telling me why I never told her sooner how I felt (even though I did) and she did want to be with me.
Well I told her I would have at some point but not anymore. I probably would have hooked up with her again eventually, but she went back to her bf's and text me that she wasn't allowed to see me again. I told her to get out that relationship for her sake.Last I heard from her.

    * shame, she was smoking hot.

Anyway, good luck. And remember, it's better to know than torture yourself.

  10. Thanks for the support...but i'd rather love her and be her friend than have neither.

  11. Its like shes top of the league and im some generic Hun wallowing in the 3rd division.

  12. Can't be that bad looking?

  13. Seriously, it's all in the eye of the beholder and even if you're not good looking you will have a lot of other traits that are attractive.

  14. I really don't.

  15. Nah shes just that good-looking.

  16. Right my turn.

1 month ago I broke up with someone. Really bad break up, lost my flat, just about everything I owned. Ended up back at my mothers with nothing but a few bags of clothes and my car. All furniture and everything from my flat is gone too.

Its a * having to start all over again alone. A complete *.

Anyone have any idea how long it takes for that awful feeling in the pit of your stomach to * off? I want to get on with my life, but honestly, I'm heartbroken.

  17. I suggest you drink your weight in Southern Comfort...then at a later time (not when ur */hungover) you meet up with him/her and sort it out.

I'm guessing you've still got something to say to him/her, so you should just get it out of the way.

  18. What age are you out of interest? I'm not exactly Brad Pitt but I'm half decent enough looking I guess, but I've found as I've got older I've noticed that everyone has traits which make themselves more attractive to others whether you notice them or not, and have become more confident and successful as a result. You'll definitely have those traits mate, you probably just don't know it.

Will probably make my point moot if you're like 30 or something but you catch my drift. :50:

  19. Mate I hooked up with someone who was really hot, not that I just thought it, she was. And I'm not exactly gorgeous. But apparently looks aren't everything.
Even now I've found myself attracted to a few girls who normally I wouldn't have looked twice at, but I've got to know them and they're pretty cool. Maybe having a personality attraction first, does indeed lead to physical attraction.

And Fusion...That sounds like more than a gutter. Feel for you. I really do. My brother separated from his wife a few years back and had to start over too. Not saying it's going to be easy. At least you've still got a car:50:.
My brother had nothing. No job, no money, nothing really at all. But it takes time to rebuild and time to get over someone you love/loved. No shortcuts mate, just need to deal with it best you can...(maybe even a wee rebound bird).
    Good luck to you man.
