What advantage would that be? You've achieved nothing so far except survival which should be the bare minimum when you're splashing 15 million on individual players.

He does not want to join your club, but your the only fools willing to pay his demands.
If he had another option i'm sure you would not be getting the player.

I don't think anyone is Angry that he is going...disappointed yes.

As a * I accept every player that Celtic signs will some day leave.

You said you had an advantage over the other teams taking Murdoch's millions. Which you know is bollocks.

To be fair a good number of people on here said he'd never go to Southampton.

Lovren will undo any good Wanyama might give. I'm a Croat, and I know what the deal with Lovren is. He is known to be a bombscare squared. No, cubed. Lyon fans hated him. And Wanyama, despite being good, will take time to adjust.

Which clubs? Even Swansea are splashing cash on players like Wilfried Bony.

So if Wanyama will "significantly improve the team" why do Celtic fans think Southampton will be relegated? They finished 14th last season after taking 10 games to adapt to the Premier League, losing 8 of the opening 10 games. That adaption has already happened, it is newly promoted sides like Palace and Hull that will struggle as they are a long way behind Southampton.

I haven't seen Lovren play either, but centre back was Southampton's weakest position last season and it isn't unreasonable to think a Croatian international and former Lyon player would be better than Jos Hooiveld and Jose Fonte.

You still don't know how players will perform this season though. There have been better squads than your one this season to have been relegated in the past. I'm not saying you will go down, I don't believe you will. But you are automatically assuming you will better your position of last season because you have added a few players. It doesn't work like that.

Wanyama is a good player - no idea who this Lovren character is/nor do I care to be honest.

You're deluding yourself if you think that if a better club came calling for Victor at this time then he wouldn't go there over your lot.

And, I seen plenty of nonsense spoken from your lot over signing Boruc - a top class goalkeeper performing amicably in Serie A, because he wasn't "proven" in England :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::rolleyes:

Since promotion Southampton have spent over £50m on transfers. It won't stop with Wanyama, Pochettino wants a new striker in the £20m bracket and one other player.

Queen's Park Rangers spent significant money on management, and squandered millions of pounds bringing in - unquestionably - better players to their squad.

Now preparing for life in your second division.

    I know.

But to be fair, at of people said what I did.

That's what happens when you try to generalise a vast group of people.

Not 'Celtic Fans' again, trying to put people in a Group there. It was Leone Nake Fan who thinks you will get relegated.

He also once said that Olic is better than Messi (sorry Leone!), that's a Leone thing not a 'Celtic fan' thing.

I know he did make a sweeping statement that certainly didnt represent the views of the majority on here but there was an element of truth.

Because QPR are run by fools buying mercenaries and have no infrastructure in place at the club.

Southampton have one of the best academies in the UK, a policy of buying young players with potential like Wanyama, Clyne, Ramirez, Lovren, Ramirez, Schneiderlin combined with academy players like Shaw, Ward-Prowse and Lallana. Under current ownership they have risen from 68th to 14th in 4 years. They know what they are doing.

I never realistically thought Wanyama would choose money over playing in the most prestigious football tournament available.

Although, I'm sure I said in a thread somewhere that I had a wee feeling that Wanyama would want to * off for the money (regardless of where) at some point in the future.

    Just call me Mystic Meg.

    * it. Enjoy watching Wanyama while you have the chance as I can assure you that Southampton FC will not be the pinnacle of his career.

:icon_mrgreen: i think we agree on that. he keeps saying the price of player his club will buy, not the quality.

Doesn't matter, it can go either way when you start spending multi-millions.

Splashing cash does not = success.

I wish all the very worst for Southampton in the upcoming season - never liked them.
