His class is very evident but I don't think he tries hard enough.

    Lassad v Miku?

Lassad now I think. Sad to say - thought Miku might just have edged it at one point.

But that's the whacky world of fitba.

I think Miku is suffering from a similar problem to Sammy when he first came here - his style of play is not hustle-&-bustle enough to win favour with everyone, leading to a mistaken belief that he is somehow Not Trying Hard Enough. A situation that led to the crazy inverted idea from some quarters that Scott Brown (for example) was a football player, while Sammy was not. Try telling that to Iniesta and co and you'll be met with a blank stare of incomprehension.

Should add this is not intended as diss of anyone else's opinion, but my feeling is that Miku has a level of class which it would be crazy to judge on a performance against Arbroath...

    I think that's a good point.

But if you had the choice of Lassad and Miku (of course, it's a false choice), who would you choose?

I like them both and want them both to do well, but Lassad just seems more... reliable?

Should add in particular, my comment should not be read as a demolition of Adam's mental, misguided ideas. :56:

I expected alot more from him by now, granted he hasn't started as many games as I thought either. He took his goal against Dundee UTD very well and I thought that might kick start his career here, however it hasn't been the case.

I wondered at the time of him signing why Getafe would loan out their top scorer, who they supposedly rejected 8m for. Don't really understand it.

Also interesting seeing people say he looks lazy and doesn't move much upfront. Before he signed I heard that one of his main qualities was his work rate upfront lol. In his defence he did work hard during the Barca game, however he cannot just pick and choose when he wants to try, whether its Barca or Arbroath he should be dying to prove himself. Either way I am dissapointed with him so far, thought a guy who had scored 12 goals in an average team in La Liga would have shown alot more. Although in saying that, his record prior to last season was less than impressive.

Well I think it's a comparison we're all making, because they were both signed from La Liga, and so close to reach other in time - and it's certainly fair to say Lassad has more obviously hit the ground running. I just feel we need to see more of them both before we can draw any meaningful conclusions...

Didn't seem interested at all today.

Lassad and Miku should start together.

You do realise you're basically saying don't judge players on how well they play. Judge them on how good the hand says they are. I think I'll listen to experts' opinions, facts, statistics and my own eyes rather than you.

And someone who actually knows anything about football would find the suggestion that Barcelona players don't work hard the most incomprehensible thing there is.

In summary, Brown's one of our best players and Miku's not good enough for Celtic.

By the sounds of things he was dangerous today and had plenty chances. I'm still backing him.

He was definitely not among the worst players on the pitch today, you're right. I still think he has a surprise or three up his sock.

You are listening to an expert's opinion Adam, it's all good. :smiley-laughing002:

The point I was making is nothing to do with Barca's workrate - it's that Iniesta singled out Sammy as our biggest threat, while the idea of him singling out Brown would be ludicrous.

    I'm not picky.
The thing is we have seen much less of Lassad than what we have of Miku yet Lassad has done more than Miku. I know which one I'd play before the other.

Well, he better start emptying that sock then because for me he's running out of chances :icon_mrgreen:

At this rate thank * we only took him on loan and didn't waste any sort of transfer fee.

He hit the bar and a great shot saved, if he scores all the morons love him rather than abuse. Probably all the idiots that didn't turn up. * off to ibrox of you just want to slag Celtic players.

Well, i can understand what people are saying, A good goal scorer will score a goal and be happy with just one, a prolific goalscorer will want a hat-trick.

Miku is maybe just still getting a feel for things, but he needs to get it drilled into him, he needs 30 goals a season here, not ten, like he would in Spain.

Get the ball and shoot, forget all this holding the ball up and playing it out wide, just turn and hit the * damned fitba!! Ye'll get on a lot better that way. He needs to be more physical, and i'm not sure when it will turn for him.

The strikers need to strike, whether it's from long range, or a tight angle, we don't need to pass the ball into the net, just work the keeper more.

Miku looks utterly disinterested, how long does a striker have to be impotent before we decide we should keep giving him another chance.
