Thats the thing though, we never seen anyone confirming anything, we heard voices and seen actors.

The bit about him talking about Glitter was sickening though and probably 50% of the proof youd need.

I think he probably was a peado but until someone actually comes out to say it then it'll never be confirmed.

Apart from the abuse, the other harrowing thing to come out of this, is the people who witnessed these acts, but failed to report it. They had a responsibility to do the right thing. How they can live with the shame is beyond me. Savile would appear to have been a bully, but their cowardice is no excuse!

It's extremely difficult for a victim of a paedophile to admit that they were abused. Many live their lives with their torment without telling a soul, some may open up to someone but the majority fear that they won't be believed. Most victims are abused by a family member or close family friend who instilled fear into them about the consequences of speaking out....that coupled with the fact that it is say the lovely " uncle Pete" or the best friend of the family "Mr Jones" that along with the "will they believe me?" factor, having to relive and talk in depth about their abuse and attacker leaves the victim feeling so scared that they'd rather live with it as a secret.

The victims of Savile will have the added problem of,will people think I'm just jumping on the bandwagon because he's famous, dead and can't defend himself? It's a very tough one.

I think his comments about Glitter told us all we need to know, they both clearly had a mindset that the abuse of children was acceptable.

He seemed to be a control freak and a sexual predator who used his fame to get access to young girls.

ITV News has successfully overturned an injunction obtained by TV celebrity Freddie Starr.

Could he be the the unnamed 3rd vile beast from the documentary last night .

Not jumping to conclusions, but it really sounds like he's guilty to me. Sick.

I've not watched the programme yet but from what I've read so far though it sounds like he is guilty as sin.

Disgrace if people have thought this for year/known about it and chose not to report it. It's easy to come out and say it now that he's dead but how many people have ended up scarred because of their lack of nerve? Pathetic world we live in at times.

From Hugo Rifkinds blog.... It quotes Jimmys autobiography ... Dear *..

Jimmy Savile’s affections laid bare by…Jimmy Savile?

    Hugo Rifkind

In today’s Times story about the allegations surrounding Jimmy Savile, David Sanderson highlighted some quotes from As It Happens, Savile’s 1974 autobiography, that nobody else seems to have picked up on. It’s strange that they haven’t, because they are startling:

[Savile] writes of an incident at the Mecca Locarno ballroom in Leeds, where he worked as a DJ during the 1950s, when a female police officer came in with a photograph of “an attractive girl who had run away from a remand home”.

Savile writes: “‘Ah,’ says I all serious, ‘if she comes in I’ll bring her back tomorrow but I’ll keep her all night first as my reward’.” He then writes that the girl did go into the club and “agreed that I hand her over if she could stay at the dance, [and] come home with me”. He wrote that he did then hand her over to the “lady of the law…[who] was dissuaded from bringing charges against me by her colleagues, for it was well known that were I to go I would probably take half the station with me”.

I repeat, this is Savile’s autobiography. It wasn’t winkled out of him by a cunning interviewer; he didn’t let it slip when he was *. It wasn’t a post-modern joke.

Rather, these are words he wrote in a book, which were read by a publisher, and presumably by lawyers, and by reviewers, and by readers. One of his alleged victims even claims he gave her a copy of it, after abusing her, with the inscription “No Escape!”.

What can these words possibly mean, except for what they seem to mean? How can nobody have noticed?

Right now, many are presumably wondering how his behaviour can have been concealed for so long. But it wasn’t concealed. It was right out there, in plain view, and nobody wanted to see. I’m not sure what the lesson of all this is, but if there is one, it’s horribly bleak.-

Evil sick and twisted * , Thank * he is dead .

Discussing it on Question Time, Janet Street Porter said there were plently of rumours that Savile engaged in acts with girls of an inappropriate age when she worked at the BBC - but it wasn't just a BBC cover up. Again, the "Saint Jimmy" image protected him - threats of funding being withheld etc. Evidence becomes more and more damning.

So it's Savile, Glitter and A.N. Other, who is still alive.....name and prosecute him! There must be an investigation in to this.

There is allegedly a third man who took part in the abuse. Few names being thrown around online.

A.N Other......another, cant be named or unknown.

The people who knew and said nothing must be brought to account, saville seemes to have got away with it due to his power and influence, but how many stars/well know people knew but said nothing, did nothing, or covered it up due to being silent.

    They are just as guilty.

Aye mate, watched it myself...damning indeed! JSPorter's account just adds to an already swelling flow of accusations against Savile.

In QT tonight JSP said it was inappropriate behaviour with young females that includes young women above the legal age of consent, not just girls under the age of 16.

But what of the people who knew, they need investigating too.

Didn't realise Glitter was now involved? I thought Saville had just defended him.
