I think we'll win this if Lennon plays the right team.

Spartak have a 5'10 right back. Samaras is 6'4 and will absolutely destroy him in the air.

Seen Lennon talking of the importance of Samaras and Forrest for this game, yet surely he won't drop Commons ? Is he going to go with just two in the middle again ? I'd have Commons and Samaras wide with Kayal, Brown and Wanyama in the middle.

    Commons--Brown--Wanyama--Ledley--Samaras
    Hooper

Would be tempted to put Izzy in though for his pace alone if he is up against McGeady..Not sure which wing he plays on for them. Other than that I can see much of a difference from this team, the only other exception I could see is Mathews in for Lustig but with his injury doubt and Lustigs form I think he will start.

Also, I love Kayal to bits and belive he is one of the best players Celtic have had in years but Im guessing Ledley is more match fit/sharp for this game. Think we will need Sammy and Commons on form for this. How well we counter attack may well decide how this game goes

A draw takes us second, assuming Barca beat Benfica. We can do it.

Powers have our odds and Benfica's odds at home to Barca exactly the same. we're/Benfica are 5/1, draw is 3/1, Spartak/Barca are 4/7.

    We will win 2-0 :icon_mrgreen:

Middle to front we have so much attacking power, but I have massive concerns about our defence and particularly our full backs.

    I would go:

    Forster

    Matthews Wanyama K Wilson Mulgrew

    Brown Ledley

    Forrest Commons Samaras

    Hooper

I can see Aiden come back, and do a Harald Brattbakk on us. I would still be very wary of this team, no mater how many players are missing.we had a few missing of our own and did ok.

Just a few things, as it seems most didn't notice.

Dikan is out for a month at least. Injured players are Dikan, Romulo, Jurado (played only a few games), Parshivlyuk (he hasn't played for a long time). Only first two played a serious role but for Romulo there are good players who can play on this position in our team, while with Dikan it is more complicated situation.

Pareja and Welliton are already training with the main squad.

PS: Hope Spartak will win :bbpd:

A draw in this game for us and then beating them in the return game at Parkhead would be two great results for us. Everyone expects us to finish third or fourth in the group anyway, so the pressure is off, to an extent.

Will Pareja and Welliton play a part in the game against Celtic. I noticed a few people saying your defence is your weak point. Class team with some really good players, I think it'll be a draw.

I think Pareja has all chances to play with Celtic as he was ready to play with Amkar but he was not taken probably coach decided not to risk. As for Welliton I think, not sure though, he will not play or less likely he might play only coming out as a sub.

Defence has always been problem. Actually there is always player with injury in defence, so there are always playing in different combinations. However with Barcelona they played really good, and in general team is playing much better in CL rather in RPL.

As for result, I don't like to make any forecast, I just hope that Spartak will win :smile1:

Sense we've been in good form recently, I'd reckon 1-1. There's the realistic side of me that's saying a tie will be good, and then there's the optimistic (or drunk, which ever you prefer :icon_mrgreen: ) that says that we could pull 3 points out of this. It'll be a really good game, for sure.
