He's been getting away with too much for too long. Even if his injury is a minor one we should be bringing in another left-back to compete with him. Charlie Mulgrew isn't serious competition for Izaguirre.

In my opinion he's a better option than Izzy right now..

Ideally I want a left back in but I don't trust Izzy at all anymore..

    Agree.
I would say Izzy is no competition to Mulgrew just now.
Would like that Barry Douglas in.

Mulgrew is suspect as well sometimes but can he ping a shot, check. Can he cross a ball, check. Can he stick his foot in, check. And of course he's much better in the air..

Mulgrew is fairly slow granted and is prone to dallying on the ball but that's not as many glaring weaknesses as Izzy just now..

    Does anyone trust izzy ?
Literally every game, it seems he's singled out by other team, as weak link. Must be a reason.
Not defensive minded enough to be a left back.

Mulgrew is the far better footballer , we look a far more solid and creative unit with him on the pitch . His deliveries from the left and his potential to pop up with a goal make him a stick on for left full back this season for me .

I really admire Izzy as a player and professional.
Brilliant attack minded player who can cross a ball.
All his weaknesses appear to be on the defensive side.
Would the answer be to re position him to a traditional half back or even winger ?

No he can't. His crossing is abysmal.

Mulgrew and Izzy are both 5/10 players. We can argue all day but we need someone better for left back.

    This.

For now, Mulgrew should start. But if we do get into either European competitions group stage, we need to improve that position.

Izaguirre is the worst crosser of a ball I have ever seen in my life.

Was decent enough tonight, still have Mulgrew in there.

Same here, it would be backward step for us.
    Douglas is the better bet.
