    Yes he could improve his final ball but this "caught out of position" is a lot of pish.

    He overlaps so it is up to other players to provide cover when we are countered. He can't be in two places at once ffs.

    Love Izzy with all my heart. If it wasn't for Brown, I would have the wee man as captain.

    Gives 110% every game and you won't find him sobbing on the physio table when he has a knock.

    Our best left back in absolute years and if he wants to finish his career (hopefully when he's about 35 :celt_2:) then that's just fine by me. Cannot wait for his testimonial.

    Yes, he needs cover, but so does every one in our team. Love you Izzy!

    He should concentrate first and foremost on defensive solidity especially when we're down to 10 men. As far as I'm concerned he's at fault for ICT's 3rd goal, didn't even look once at the full-back who scored even though it was on his side.

    Can't believe I always have to bump this thread after he has a good game. Everyone's going mental for Bitton but in reality he had a extremely poor first half and apart from his goal was far from his best.


    Emillio on the other hand played a great match, some delivery to break the deadlock and skinned about 4 of their players at one point as well as making a cracking sliding tackle. Well done izzy!

    I usually react to threads rather than bump them.

    I said a good few times in the match thread how good he was. He plays a lot more dangerous balls into the box than people give him credit for.

    He is as good a modern left back as we could hope for, I've always said that. He has his faults but his positives far outweigh them.

    Ronny must protect him better. Whoever plays LM next year must share the attacking responsibilty with Izzy and hang back when he is bombing forward.

    We also need a geniune back up/competition for him.

    Love him, always loved him, always will, great servant.

    Wasn't having a go at you or anyone else Sean. Also was at the game so never saw the match thread.

    Totally agree with that, he misses the protection Joe Ledley gave him when he played, maybe Armstrong can bring that into his game but I don't think GMS will provide it.
