I would have Charlie Mulgrew make this position his own , have been thinking it for a while. Him and Amstrong down that line would be decent , and Charlie has a good defensive mind . Izzy is so bad against good opposition , hate to say it .

Dodgy defending, we defo need another left back imo. Like we have two RB with Lustig and Matthews.

Agreed, thought we were all over the shop at the back and he was part of that.

He has no cover. Armstrong was brilliant going forward but Izzy was always on his own on the left hand side. Made a few terrible passes as did most of our team but he wasn't anywhere near as bad as people are making out.

Played a great ball to Griffiths who played GMS in who missed the chance. Then played a great ball to Johansen who chested it to Griffiths who miss the chance. If these two chances go in, we're not critisicising him as heavily tonight.

He left that side very exposed tonight.

Not great. I accept he is an attacking wing back but he needs to calm it on nights like tonight and Deila etc should not that.

Especially with a guy like Shaqiri running at you.

Don't like seeing him in the team at all. Which sadly, is every match.

Defensively he's poor, always leaves the left side of the pitch exposed for players to run in to. He's far too offensive and even that doesn't work because his final ball is abysmal 90% of the time. He has the odd cracker of a match but he's not good enough. Nights like tonight prove that.

    We need two full backs.

I like wee Izzy, but he's not good enough for a rapidly progressing young Celtic team. Final ball not good enough, and when defending, doesn't tuck in behind centre backs.

  13. His defending was * shocking tonight, we really do need another left back to give him a boot up the *.

Would like to see a new LB bought in the summer with more pace and defensively sounder than Izzy, does he look awfully slow to anyone or is it just me?

Defensively he's a liability and has been for a long time. People seem to forget about it because he's so rarely tested in domestic football but he gets found out when we come up against better quality opposition. His positional sense is diabolical.

No he couldn't, he can barely put in a good cross.

The love-in he gets baffles me. It's clear that he's a massive weak link the team.

    Bit perplexed actually.
