Think it´s about time for me "The Dane", to speak up about Tommy G.
I never thought of him as a great player, BUT we bought him, he´s the most expensive player in the SPL, he´s defently better than Lennon. So why the f**k not put him in the starting XI !! We are not playing the winning ways at the moment, as a matter of fact, I think we´re playing *!! :31:
So PLEASE WGS : Put Tommy on!!!:celt_2: :shamrock:

    HAIL HAIL.

In a Danish newspaper today it states that Celtic will sell Tommy G during the summer and renew Neil Lennon contract. At the same time they will buy Stephen Appiah from Fenerbache.
The reason for selling Tommy G is that he has no defensive discipline.
Seems like Tommy G never really was giving a chance in Celtic. Its a shame, he really made Celtic a better offensive team.

    From yesterdays Evening Times:

The told-you-so brigade are now screaming for Gravesen to be reinstated to the central midfield where Strachan has stuck with Neil Lennon and Paul Hartley.

But the manager reserves the right to manage, and will continue to pick the 11 men he believes are best equipped to deliver the SPL/Scottish Cup double which is now within touching distance.
He makes no attempt to pretend he did not hear the loud applause and chants when Gravesen was sent out to warm up during Saturday's game against Motherwell.

But Strachan said: "I don't have any problem with that, because it can be the other way about. I remember the last couple of times Thomas was on the park, people were booing him because he was waving his hands about, giving the ball away and not running back.

"You will always find that the guys who are not playing become much better players. It's one of these things you have to deal with. I don't have a problem with it. Opinion is fine."

Disgraceful comments about TG from our manager IMO! You f**king bought him GS!

He is merely putting it down to us fans being fickled

Thats right because Man Utd fans think John O'Shea is a great player when not playing, they think he is better than rooney actually

He is putting Gravesen in his place I think he means so he tries harder the 1 out of 5 games in which he has a chance.... But that doesnt make him a better player. Lack of practice, work, chemistry with teammates in game situations..... bit worried about that statement if its not taken out of context.

Whats the point in making tommy better for the 1 game and consqeuantly making the team worse for the other 4

exactly... and I know thats what WGS is hitting at. There is no other reason not to play him. And the only logic would be teaching him a lesson so he tries harder.....

Sad to see but its seems GS is forming favorites, which can't be good for team morale and I think GS has allowed players to be slagged by the media with GS failing to defend the players which=unhappy dressimg room

I also think WGS has got his favourite players and tries to play them as often as possible, even if it probably weakens the team. players like tommy, riordan, last season McGeady... on the other hand some "dodgy" players have been playing all the time.

    100% Agree

I also think he fails to give certain players enough credit for their part in the team

ie Boruc during the WC with GS was called a "brave" keeper after the Germany game and a "good" keeper after the Man Utd game

Can see Strachans point to be honest. It's not the kind of thing i want to hear coming from our manager, but there is some truth in what he's saying. I remember a time when we we're all slaggin Tommy G off saying he was never worth the big wage, not saying we all were but a lot of us were. Now that our midfield is struggling we want to see him brought back in to see if he can add a bit of spark to our play. Nothing wrong with that.

The thing is though, GS has his own eyes and obviously he has a very developed football brain, he's been in the game long enough. He can see himself that we have been stale as * in centre midfield, so why not just bite the bullet and give the guy a chance rather than coming out and basically slagging him off through the media? He's digging himself what's going to end up a massive * hole, he better start getting off his * high horse if he wants to keep the us happy. It's alright saying he's won us two leagues out of two, last 16 blah * blah, but he has to understand he will not get away with defiance and showing us a lack of respect.

As for Tommy G, i really hope he gets his chance coz i think he's got plenty to offer us, but i aint goanny hold my breath. With comments like the ones Strachans made, there's only going to be one outcome im afraid :38:

A Danish paper today states that Sunderland and a unknown club have ask Celtic if Graversen is for sale this summer and Celtic have answered "Yes". Sunderland only have a chance if they advance up to the Primarship.

Face it, Graversen is lost for Celtic for no other reason then that the manager doesnt like him..Sure a waste of time for both Celtic and Graversen.

    * sake, the 'Danish newspapers' seem to know quite a lot don't they?

Saying that, i'll be very surprised if no one comes in for the big man, and i'd be even more surprised if Strachan was to knock any team back, unfortunately

GS public image is a disgrace tbh, He's not very clever imo

And for a club the size of Celtic PL must be considering having a word with him and I know alot of fans who dislike GS because of his interviews

I fervently agree . i hate his daft remarks after games . he always blames the ''conditions '' its scotland we play in that never stopped tam burns teams playing good football . his signing of hartley was a panic buy because we never got kev thomson . id rather we just kept the £1million:celt_2:
