Who do you think is Celtic's MVP(Most Valuable Person) at the moment?

I have drawn up a shortlist of 5 candidates...........

    1. Dermot Desmond - The man at the top.

He has the final say when the big decisions are made.

    2. Peter Lawwell - The Chief Exec.

The man who signs the cheques, plays a pivotal role in setting the club's budgets and negotiates with other clubs/agents when we are buying/selling players. He's unpopular with some but his financial acumen cannot be questioned.

    3. Neil Lennon - The gaffer.

He's in charge of the playing side of things and responsible for delivering the thing the fans want most - trophies. He's doing a grand job.

    4. John Park - The talent spotter.

With money being so tight these days a guy like John Park is worth his weight in gold. He finds good players for small fees. Park can take a lot of the credit for players like Kayal, Izaguirre and Wanyama wearing the Hoops.

    5. Our best player(whoever you think that is)

Ultimately, football is still all about what happens on the pitch. Therefore good players are important people at any football club. Opinions will vary as to who Celtic's best player is but whoever it is we do not want to see them leave the club.

So, who do you think is the most indispensible person at Celtic Park?

PS. (I have deliberately left the fans out of this).

If we still had Cha it would without doubt have been our best player, having him go though I've gone for Lawwell.

I've no doubt this will split opinion but he is the man who has the last say on getting players in and out of the club, the players that will or will not get us the results. Obviously in the grand scheme of things it's Dermot Desmond, Lenny has a huge part to play and Park has found us some fantastic young players, but for me it's the man who finances the squad.

Can't answer this as I haven't forgiven the main guys for handing Rangers 3 titles and they are of course the most important men at the club.

Tough call because at the end of the day everyone named has a vital role to play and forms a part of the jigsaw, but in the end I went with Lawwell. Simply because if he gets the finances wrong we'd soon end up like the deadwood from across the other side of the city.

A man who goes to the golf instead of the games shouldn't even be considered, Don't think we'd terribly miss Desmond.

If it is then unintentionally so. :50:

    Back on topic.................

I am torn between Peter Lawwell and John Park. Lawwell has done a great job as Chief Executive but a guy like John Park is invaluable to us in our present situation.

Was it not Desmond who got in Martin O'Neill ahead of Guus Hiddink? Not to say Guus wouldn't do a great job but getting Martin in was the best thing that could have happened to our club.

John Park. We'd be * if we didn't have him picking our players. Lennon would be out of a job, we'd have no best player (or it'd only be McCourt or someone else), and the pressure would be on the big men at the top.

Went for Lenny, Lawwell deserves credit for giving him the chance but Lenny has brought back unity and passion to the fanbase and made us believe again, even if we can't/don't win, we believe that we can now!

I have to agree here , the manager is always the most important person in the club,he picks the team and sets them up to play a system to suit,so so anyone thinking otherwise look at mon or strachan or mowbary to see the difference they make, its a huge difference having the wrong man at the helm ,i recon the mowbary appointmen cost us 20 mill +to start to fix the problems.
