I'm a bit * off after reading that statement, I think the tone that it was written in is a disgrace, My ticket costs £499 and with a 1 year old baby at home money is tight and it was a bit of a liberty on my part to get my season ticket renewed for my 11th year in a row.

Celtic charge £42 for games against Rangers and so £84 of my £499 was for the Rangers games.

Is anyone telling me that Celtic are gonna charge £42 to anyone that wants to go to the Dundee games that isn't cover by a season ticket?, Nah me either.

So we've all got a bit of a * deal, I've been rather naively waiting patiently on Celtic to do the right thing about this issue, i'm thinking that they would realise that people wouldn't be happy with this and give either the Helsinborg game for free or more likely give us all a voucher to spend at the club shop.

But it seems like all * full season ticket holders will not be receiving anything, and what's more we should be ashamed of ourselves for even thinking that we're entitled to get some kind of value for our hard earned money(Ha!).

I've never been more disappointed in the men that are currently running Celtic, i've never been the type to rant and rave about lack of signings as I understand that Money is tight for Celtic and we must be smart to ensure our long term future, but for me this is a real slap in the face to all Celtic fans and the biggest indication that we are mearly £ signs to them.

This might all seem a bit dramatic but this might be my last season as a ticket holder, coz i don't like getting taken for granted.

I think my eyes are hurting reading this pish, no wonder paradise is empty some games with people just looking for the newco games *. :47: If you are not happy then get a refund or sell you book, many a celt would buy it, never slate our team. The money we give pays for everyone, from the toilet cleaners to the board, so stop whinging about a £30 voucher because I would have taken * all!!!:celt_2:

P.s £100 odd pound for a season ticket. The things that kids want for there birthday cost more than that, don't see you'se complaining to Fisherprice about it! :87:

Just before everyone gets angry at me I meant kids ticket, and so I can get everyone angry, "why pay all that money and then complain on here, like a dirty newco fan?".:38:

Look mate, don't tell me i'm the reason Celtic park is empty coz I've missed 2 home games in 10 years, it's the principal.

We are all used to getting bumped of our electricity suppliers, sky, etc....

But when it's your football team doing it, it stings a bit more.

£50 for the new top is a prime example of the fans being bumped by the club as they know many people will buy it regardless of price, not even 5 years ago it was £40

You obviously can't grasp the issue! We go to the games and many a Celt won't snap my ticket up if I hand it back because there is already many empty seats. I won't accept being taken for granted by anyone and Cetic have taken their superb support for granted, anyone who is honest can see it clearly. It's * shocking they have given fans a guilt trip in that badly written statement.

They don't pay big wages to players anymore, there no one on over £25,00 a week and I don't think there is many on that. Yet we can't sign a player without the CL money, even though we have trimmed the wage bill over the summer.

When MON was manager we had at least four or five on over £25,000 a week with Larsson reportedly on £40,000. I'm not saying it was sustainable but we are charged more now and the wage bill is much smaller and they are always saying they have no money.

Season ticket sales will plummet next season after the way the board have been this transfer window. When did this no European football, no signings * begin ?

One or 2 signings and the Aberdeen game would have probably sold out. The Helsinki game would have probably sold out. And the Inter friendly would have had a higher attendance. They are playing a risky game, especially when more and more people are struggling to make ends meet.

They can't expect to charge more and more and give less and less back. Price of the tops this season is beyond a joke. If I decide to buy one it won't be from our superstore. JJB, Sports Direct and JD all selling it cheaper.

I've said this before but Celtic had to start selling ST's when the huns were still in limbo so they clearly stated that the higher priced tickets were for games against deidco or a successor to it.

You would have to have been living on Mars not to know the huns had a chance of going out of business so it was always going to be a risk buying the tickets for those games.

The club tried to make the best of a difficult situation at the time, no one forced anyone to buy the higher end tickets.

As for the kids tickets, don't they work out at around 8 quid a game? I really don't see the problem there.

99% of people on here didnt want Rangers in the league this year so why all of a sudden do you think you should pay less for your season book?? We already need champions league money before we can make any more signings so why would we want to take even more money off the club? Its unfortunate that we have to be run like a business but thats the way its got to be. We are just numbers. There is no hidden money, every penny is accounted for. I can understand people being upset that paid for kids season books with Rangers tickets included because they have paid a lot more for something they are now not getting. As for the rest of us , we pay for a season book to support our team in all our games and we will still be getting that.

In my opinion the successor to them part was added in case of a newco rangers succeeding the oldco in the spl, it was not meant for Dundee being promoted, they could argue that it was, but either way unless Celtic plan on charging £42 for home games against Dundee the ticket price doesn't make sense.

You are giving it the "I'm such a good Celtic fan that I'll gladly pay over the odds to see Rangers suffer" attitude, and that's what Celtic are counting on.

The tickets are already overpriced, my ticket went up £20 from last year, don't get me wrong I'm not one if the people who wanted rangers put into the spl, far from it, they got lucky even getting into the 3rd division, I just don't believe the fans should have to make up the shortfall, I think Celtic are using this situation to emotionally blackmail fans into taking it on the chin.

Which we will but it's left a bad taste in my mouth.

Thats what they wer letting you think at the ticket office on renewal to secure my ticket for the game against newco It's not so much myself but its the weemans ticket I was in a strop about a 50 quid ticket all of a sudden jumps to £134 That leaves a bitter taste in my mouth i have been naive any more add on's in future I wont be taking up. Celtic are a business and thats the way they treat us family my * just another number the pockets of empty seats will get bigger but mine wont be one i'l still be there.

This has got nothing to do with the huns or Sevco. It was still overpriced when the huns played us, how could they justify a £30 increase from last season even if the huns didn't get liquidated?

The club are losing the goodwill of a lot of hard pressed families with their money grabbing strategy. The empty seats will just get larger and larger because they are not even entertaining a lot of the time and don't want to spend money on fresh blood. I'm not talking about competing for premiership or top European player I'm talking about SPL, championship and young foreigners with potential.

They dont treat anyone like anything though, if you dont want a ticket you just dont get one, if you do you do. Remember all your doing is giving money like all other fans to help fund the Club as best you can, no one forces anyone you should do it because you like it.

£134 to see 21 games, plus get discounts on other tickets you want like £5 off the Inter friendly £5 off the Helsingborg game, is still a brilliant deal for a youngster.

They only started doing the really cheap kids tickets about 4/5 years ago. When I was younger like 9/10/11/12 a season ticket cost £280 or something without Rangers games now its only £50.

Probably because it's needed to maintain the Clubs position.

If we cut season ticket prices by £50 each, then what woould make up for the extra £2.3million less income? plus would putting the prices down £50 attract more fans? I doubt it.

There are reasons things are done :50: people act like theres a big black hole where Lawwell and Desmond are sitting sniggering filling their pockets with piles of money.

To fill Celtic Park I would say you'd need to cut prices to about £300 for an * season ticket with £50 kids tickets. But that would leave us with season ticket income of only £15million a season, which would be £6million a year down on the current prices at 45,000 season tickets.

For those complaining about the price increase this year it isn't an increase in your ST cost it is just the VAT increase from last year kicking in.

When VAT increased from 17.5% to 20% Celtic waived the additional cost last year. This years increase is merely the club adding on the additional 2.5% enforced by the gov't.

I have been in dialect with the ticket office their attitude is * rotten. They treated me like * last season over an upgrade so ur basically calling me a liar!!!! I am not the only 1 who thinks the club take the * at times. As said in a previous post I'll compromise at the 30 quid voucher as I was led to believe it WOULD be Rangers of some guise for the record I was 1 of the 1st renew

That's not really the case, a 2.5% increase would have only added £12 to my ticket.

I've not complained about the ticket increase, I only really pointed out that they went up for all the people that think we all need to just accept that the season ticket price no longer makes sense.

To be honest I probably wouldn't even have posted on this article had it not been for the snidey way in which the statement was worded, That is the main thing that has angered me.

We've all slated Rangers fans for swallowing the line of crap that has (and still is) fed to them for years, so forgive me if I choose not to go down the same road.

The Ticket office isnt the Club, thats just men/women doing a job, thats got nothig to do with anything, they dont set the prices. The Club dont take the * out of anyone, the fans are the Club, the guys running it are fans and know better than me or you how much money they need to bring in to keep the Club run as best as possible. We arent obliged into paying anything, we only do it to help the Club.
