his confidence is shot to bits...he needs to get up past samaras and take the ball to the byline . he seems to be playing with too much fear , im sure lenny will get his head right soon.

The game that stands out for me was the Hamilton game with the ridiculous offside decision.

Izzy was absolutley flying that day, he looked like he'd win it for us on his own. It would be a massive shame if he was unable to get back to that, but I can understand how difficult it is to regain confidence in your body when you've suffered such a bad injury.

I had a pretty bad break myself 2 years ago and even today I still feel quite tentative about running too much, and Izzy had a partcularly explosive style.

I felt that he wasn't that bad
Ok he gave the ball away abit more than usual but I just think he needs game time and as for the overlapping on wedensday I would rather the back 4 keep compact rather than full backs bombing forward all the time unless we go with a midfeild 5 where Vic can drop back to cover

He's not been that bad, I agree about him not anywhere near the same going forward. But defensively he's still solid, not like hes getting a roasting every time he plays. Id keep playing him to get him back to the same level.

Also I dont think he links up well with Samaras. Samaras is more of an individualist and the dumbest player in the team at linking up or spotting whats happening around him so Izzy cant really link-up with him. Nobody links-up well with Sammy and nobody ever has because its not something hes good at, so its not ideal for an attacking full-back.

I don't think Izaguirre has been that bad. Probably just suffering due to the high expectations after his first season.

Even the best have off days.

I was impressed with Wanyama and Commons today.

i cant believe people are saying hes been pish when we've had players like Mo Camara and Lee Naylor(most of the time) they were pish, Izaguirre is just off form, but he isnt playing terribly, just not at his brilliant best.

Cant say im overly concerned, all players suffer from loss of form

Maybe Hayes was quiet because Izaguirre kept him in check the whole game...

He did nothing in that game and didn't have to.

Him and Matthews never got forward much today mainly because of the way Aberdeen set up with McGinn and Hayes playing on each wing.

Defensively he was good as the score line suggests but he needs to cut out some of the bull * like trying to peg players in his box or single handedly skin 4 players.....in his own half.

If he's good enough to get away with it and restricts it to the SPL, then why not show off his skills and beat opposition players for fun?

I could count on one hand the amount of times Izzy has cost us a game with defensive errors, in the two seasons that he's been here. In fact, I can think of only one; Inverness last year and the whole team was * Mowbray-esque that night. One of the worst performances I've ever seen from a Celtic team in my life.

although he done nothing to impress today it doesnt concern me in the slightest due to the fact the team looked absolutely terrible all round. First game of the season the entire team looked out of shape got to look to the future matches and let the players gain match sharpness.
