What ever yir view of Forrest is, what won't help him is his own fans on his back.

He is fragile in body and in confidence too, consistent injuries means he is not the same player who burst onto the scene.

He needs our support that's what Celtic supporters should do.

    We love a homegrown scapegoat.

You're saying that as if Shaun Maloney has become a world beater. He's a good player for Wigan but nothing extraordinary. And Forrest hasn't even showed the potential that Maloney did.

When Maloney was Forrest's age, he had his best season for us user Strachan in 2006. Meanwhile Wee Jamesy is contributing absolute * all. They're not even similar players really, Maloney had much better technique and control. Forrest just runs fast.

If Ronnny says he needs time until next year to get back to 100% I see no reason to question that. No one thinks he is good enough right now, Ronny included.

I think Ronny wants him at LM and GMS at RM as he likes the wide men inverted. If the crab wants the supporters back on side then he better man up and start working his * off in defense as well as offence and if he doesn't then young Henderson should be before him in the pecking order.

I'm not talking about the level Maloney is playing at, I'm talking about his injury free run which obviously has/had something to do with one of his coaches in recent years.

Forrest was every bit as exciting as Maloney when he burst onto the scene, for different reasons obviously, Maloney being a far better technical player but wee Jamesy had lightning pace and great link up play.

Ronny thinks he can tailor a training program to suit Forrest and I'm willing to give him time to do it. Make no mistake, if he can sort him out we have a potential £8/10m player on our hands. It would be absolute madness to let that walk away for nothing or peanuts without at least trying.

If any player is not giving his all for our famous green and white hoops then he deserves criticism. Jock's immortal words ring true.

Not comparable I'm afraid. Forrest has proven himself in a Celtic Jersey.

We should try and support him.

I know I * harp on criticising Forrest, but reading the same excuses and ignoring his * play and attitude whilst reading much harsher criticism for better players who tried harder over the years, it really does my head in.

So has Ambrose, he played in our CL Last 16 team and clean sheet record team every game. But fans are on his back much more than they are Forrest's- because he's "Wee Jamesy!"

Injuries have stopped him giving his all. If he can stay injury free and get a proper pre-season under his belt. Then we may see the best of him.

If he gets another bad injury then maybe we should cut our losses.

No point getting on the back of a fragile player.

I agree, but that's an argument for supporting Efe more, not for getting on Forrest's back more

Both those players come in for some harsh criticism.

    Sammy did too.

What harsher criticism have better players had?

Everyone on here is critical of Forrest. That doesn't mean he needs to be hounded out of the club. He has proven he can be a good player. As a club that has to live off scraps as far as players are concerned (we cannot compete with the big transfer fees), we can't afford to write off players like Forrest this early.

As soon as Ambrose made a mistake or two, he became "*", "punt him" and a couple of weeks ago some absolute * actually posted here saying he was the worst player he'd ever seen play for Celtic, it was madness. But Forrest constantly under performs, laps everything, shows a bad attitude and lack of commitment and got nothing. His recent criticism was a very long time coming.

Arjen Robben had big injury problems in his early career, too.

Obviously we're talking about different levels of the game, but he overcame injury issues due to specialised training and an increased knowledge of what was causing the injuries, and could therefore help himself by preventing them.

Samaras, Commons, even Hooper. All got called * and or fat, useless, lazy, waste of a jersey etc- and all are significantly better players than Forrest.

and Forrest had put in plenty of gutless, heartless and useless performances for us and not received the same criticism.
