    Who do you think is the absolute best player in the squad just now? when on form that is. I think Big Vic is a absolute monster on the pitch, He is absolutely fantastic!!

    Vic is a monster. I think Commons and Sammy have looked good in pre season also.

    Vic has been great though, i really hope we can hold onto him...

    Funny thing with sammy is that almost everyone of us hated him a year ago or so, but he has been fantastic ever since.

    Are you saying who is our best player when they are at their best or who is the best player of the pre-season? If it's the latter then I don't see the point because it's clearly Forster but if not then it's Izaguirre but there are a lot of candidates. No need to limit it to 1 in my opinion. :50:

    Forster is a * of a shout for best player of pre season, I forgot about him.

    I would change my vote to Fraser actually, solid as rock so far.

    Very happy that we got forster tbh, we are lucky to have him because he is a top keeper. Cant belive the people who critizise him

    If they where all at there playing at peak form then its no contest. Samara's is simply unplayable when he gets to top gear but dosent do enough for me tho.

    In terms of consistency its Joe Ledley who gets the tag of best player.

    Difficult question our squad is so similar to each other in terms of quality

    On their best form it's Sammy, he's the only world class/CL quality player we have, when on form he's one of the few players outside Messi who can pick the ball up in his own half and dribble round 9 players, before taking the ball round the keeper, tripping over his bootlaces and sending the ball just wide of the post.

    Can't pick from Samaras, Commons, Forster or Wanyama.

    Would have put Mulgrew but the defence hasn't been the best so far.

    I also agree, Samaras at his best is simply breathtaking and if he was consistently like that then he'd be an absolute world beater at an AC Milan or a Valencia or somewhere.

    Wanyama is the 1 player in our squad that could play for anyone. Said it last season and nothing has changed. I can think of very few of his type of player, at his age, with his potential.

    My personal favourite, for sheer consistency, is Ledley and this pre-season has been all about Forster who has been superb.
