Wimbledon starts on Monday - Yippeee!! I enjoy watching tennis and Wimbledon being on is without doubt the best thing about the football season being over.

Andy Murray has been handed an absolute brute of a draw this year. This is what could potentially lie ahead of him............

    1st round - v Nikolay Davydenko
    2nd round - v Ivo Karlovic
    3rd round - v Kevin Anderson
4th round - v Marin Cilic or Milos Raonic
Quarter Final - v Juan Martin Del Potro or David Ferrer
    Semi-Final - v Rafael Nadal
Final - Novak Djokovic or Roger Federer

There's no way Murray would come through all that. I can see him going out before the semis this year.

In the women's event, Maria Sharapova has been handed a brilliant draw. Serena Williams, Petra Kvitova and Victoria Azarenka are all in the bottom half of the draw while Sharapova is in the top half. She must have a good chance of making the final unfortunately.

My tips for this year's winners are Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams.

Anyone else excited about Wimbledon starting?

I actually fancy Federer this year. Think he can do it again he's been playing pretty well recently.

Nadal v Djokovic final, Djokovic in 4. If Sharapova brings her best game she'll storm it as well.

Lol, remember it's first to 3:50:

Shame Murray got a bad draw although Davedenko isn't a good player on the grass!

Baker v Jo Wilfred looks like a bit of a match!

Murray has a tough draw. Still expect him to get to the Semi Finals though. Expect Novak to bounce back and retain it.

Sharapova to be smiling that beautiful smile on the woman's side.

Probably the toughest draw Andy could have got, he's had problems with this guy in the past.

Can't see past Djokovic to be honest.

No great interest in the women's game if I'm honest, other than watching Sharapova running around sweating in a white mini dress and making grunting noises. :icon_mrgreen:

Tough draw for Andy still expect him to get to the second week comfortably.

Waiting for the inevitable 'Andy's *' if he gets put out

    Andy's *

I dont have to wait until the tournament begins never mind for when he gets put out. Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, Tsonga, Ferrer and Del Potro are better than him IMO.

He's got a better head to head than all of those players. He's been in 3 Slam finals whilst those players have been in a combined 2 Slam finals, albeit Del Potro managed to win his.

If he had beaten Ferrer at RG last month he'd have been only the 10th player to get to 6 consecutive Semi finals at the slam.

He's 12th in the all time list for number of Master 1000 tournaments too. He's anything but *.

Even if all those players were better than Andy Murray, and I don't agree that all of them are, that would still leave Andy Murray as the 7th best player in the world. Hardly * is it?

Murray is a excellent player. It just so happens that the guys at the very top, who are among the best players EVER to play the sport, are a class above him.

The draw, hmmmm. Why does Novak Đoković always have to play against Rafael or Federer in semis? I can not remember when those 2 players played against each other in GS semifinal?
Something is weird. I didn't want to believe that Nike wants to have two "their" players in the final ,but...

always been a conspiracy in the atp tour. because even when rafa was number 1 it was still nadal djoko in the semis most of the time.

hopefully djokovic wins it or murray does it this year, but sadly due to poor recent form i can't see murray do it
