Bearing in mind this is just an agreement between the clubs, Ki hasn't said anything publicly, I'm sure his agent will make sure they knew 100% that Arsenal, Athletico, etc are not making offers before he lets him sign anything.

While Swansea aren't a european club, I'm sure he'll be looking at them as a stepping stone, the way he apparently looked at us. Can't blame him, he wants to play at the top level, and I'm sure he will, just would like to see us financially rewarded for taking the risk on him when we signed him

If the deal is completed then I would be disappointed to lose a right good player. If the reports are true that Big Dave wants to leave then it makes sense to do a deal.

6 million is a good deal and if Neil Lennon is allowed to spend from the sale then I would prefer us to sign the lad Henriksen from Rosenborg. Young guy with loads of potential.

havent really got an overall feeling on thr transfer but what is pissign me off is the way we do business every year.

because our model is so dependant on champs league we do business so late. and by that time everyone knows we have champs league (hopefully) to spend and prices rise.

i dont care who you are you surley miss out on potential targets leaving business so late.

we wont get someone is as the same quality as ki, (as losing quality is never a good thing even if not a regular). which in my opinion puts us in a weeker postion.

i also think basing our model on buying young talent and then selling is floord. you give yourself a "glass roof. "

If your figure is correct then it really isn't a great bit of business from us. However if that lad wants to go and test himself elsewhere there is no point holding onto him.

I could see why he would want to venture elsewhere; he knows he isn't first choice here.

 

£6m wouldn't be a terrible deal for a player who doesn't command a regular starting place in an SPL side, albeit I think he'd be worth at least double that if he was currently playing down there.

Same amount of money we got for Stan Petrov, is another way to look at it.

Sorry,maybe south Korean rights is the wrong wording but Lawwell said a few months ago we bank 2mil a year from having Ki.

 

First thing we should do as soon as this is completed is phone Dundee Utd and offer £1million for Johnny Russell, might get rejected but let them sweat a couple of days, then go in with £1.25million, might get rejected again. Then go in with a final offer of £1.5million, if they reject it fair enough but by this time Russell will be choking to sign for us and we could go in on deadline day with £1.7million or something and get him. But hope an earlier bid gets accepted as he would be a good addition for the Helsingborg game.
