I have kept my mouth shut recently but I have always said I think gets a lot of unwarrented stick on this forum and with Celtic fans in general.

He loves playing here and I personally think he is a top player and from figures I hear he generates upwards of 3-4 million a year in revenue as well as build our international brand name in the developing side of Asia Pacific. I do not want to see him go, he is still very young and clearly is super talented.

I have also heard that he is not keen to leave, he wants a crack at the champions league before moving on, which would be fair enough. He was our best performer in both undinese games in my opinion and someone that I think would be a great asset.

I don't see the need to sell him just yet, he does not cost us anything and more than pay's for himself and will only get better I think. So I am of the opinion that one more season, especially in Europe and see the offers come in next and move on him, if he is wants to go and we want to sell.

I do think now it is super important that we keep a foothold in the Asian market though its a nice top up and with the Japanese league now growing in stature the majority of their players that are worth buying are now commanding fee's we cannot match, we need to keep and add to our South Korean rep before we are only left with places like China where their is no copy right law and thus no real earning potential for merchandise.

In Ho Chi Minh where I live there is a place called Phu My Hung which is a korean distract and I have seen many people with Celtic tops on or speak to me about Celtic in general because of our exposure due to Ki. It is important to keep these relationships.

So am I - Bangura cost more than Juarez at £2.2m, Forster was signed for same price at (£2m) and Hooper (£2.4m).

Bangura is still here and has a part to play at Celtic - so he has not been written of as of yet (by management).

Think of it this way, if the rumours are true and the figures banded about are true, why are other teams prepared to pay this money for him? He has something and lets face what 7-8m rated player is gona want to play in spl so who do we replace him with? Let him mature here more and really see what he can do his passing and set pieces are good enough to warrant another season.

Good post and you raised good points, but we need to remember he only has 18 months left on his contract so if we don't sell him this window then unless he signs a new contract we will never get a better price for him which is why we really need to sell him now. With little competition in the league I really think we could easily get by without him.

That's all good and that, but we are first and foremost a football team.

If we get an offer of that figure banded about, then to refuse it is madness for a player who unarguably is not a mainstay of the team.

We cannot afford the luxury of having an Asian-mascot in the team.

i like ki! good passer etc of the ball and young! would rather keep him but if a bid of at least 8m came for him? then yes sell him and use it for other things like a decent hard * cb for one, kayals back so he will take ki`s place again anyway

Will be interesting to see in a years time how well he does down south, or La Liga or whereever he goes. If we can get £7m for Ki, it will go someway for the money wasted on Murphy, Bangura, Juarez etc.

Personally I am disappointed in Ki. He hasnt developed to the level we were all hoping to. The EPL will not be an easier league for him. Anyone who thinks that needs their head examined!! The size of the pitch wont make a bit of difference, they are all within Professional requirements. Good luck etc. But lets get the cash for him.

For a player who loves the club so much he hasnt given that much indication that he wants to stay. Has spoken plenty about playing in a bigger league, which is disrespectful, and with only 18mths left I dont think he has any intention whatsoever of signing another contract.

Charlie Adam flourished down south and he was a donkey in scotland and imo hasn't got anywhere near the same ability as Ki. Time will tell but I'm sure the lad will give more than a decent account of himself down there.

Charlie Adam was highly-overrated in England.

Scored some cracking goals and hit a load of "camera" passes, but he has been shown up for exactly what he is at Liverpool - a broken-toothed * :50:
