I always call it the text.....(lol) Back when remotes first came out and you could use them to get the ceefax text stuff and text the results of the horse racing (long before sky and the horse racing on TV daily) I use to say 'gie us the Text tae ah text the result of the 2:30 at Doncaster......Aw these years later....I still call it The Text. Get some odd looks when I'm in someone elses house and I ask where's yer text? (lol)

We call ours Rover, which is very confusing for the budgie as he has the same name. However, Remote the Dog and Thingimyjig the Cat are no longer seeing the shrink.

Come to think of it, I don't call it anything, as I have total, 100% exclusive rights to the , erm, channel changing thingy in our house. I never let it out of my sight, so never have to ask "gies the ******* (insert nom de guerre). Anybody else caught in possession of the aforementioned gadget get's their arms chopped off (and I always have an axe handy) - Unless, of course, I happen to have conked out after too much of the black stuff and providing when I wake up it's on the program I wanted, in which case a written apology is acceptable.

All of you who have a name for it are obviously a right buncha forking wimps. :icon_mrgreen:
