What do you call the remote control for your TV?

I call it the remote, the wife calls it the gadget and i've heard it called various other things like doo dah and buttons.

Think the coolest name for a remote control is "The Zapper"

Bet most of you have done this ...When the remote control is running short on battery power you will stand up and walk towards the TV then still pressing the button you want it still wont work , you could switch the thing over with your finger your now that close but you still persist in trying to turn the tv over with the remote

 

Aye bit of a headcase my mates Da is,his wife got a new microwave years back,he sat in the kitchen staring at it then asked how do you change the channel.

Clown.

 

Aye or batter the * out of the remote,somehow thinking this will help.

Funniest thing I see is when my the phone goes in my grannies house - she picks up the remote and sits for about a minute saying hello with the remote at her ear thinking it's the phone - then will turn round to me and say "must have been a wrong number"

 

its mad how much rage it causes when you lose it, i turn the living room upside down.

I take it a lot of you do what I do.....

Instead of changing the batteries when they are dead - I'll spend about 20 mins slapping the controller and swapping batteries about for as long as I take slapping it
