I done a Thread 3 seasons asking the exact same question when Gordon Strachan was in charge .

Your opinion or hopes as to where you see Celtic in the next 3 years or more ,
Is Lennon the man to take Celtic to the next level .

Will most of this present Team still be the nucleus in a few years time ,Given how young this present Team are .

Will some serious money be spent in adding that bit extra that is needed on the team .

Rangers are no longer a threat but given time they will be back [Im sure] ,

Celtic really need to ram it home that this is our time and make sure that when Rangers return ,It will take them years to maybe catch up on Celtic .

Your thoughts on where you would like to see were the Bhoys will be ,Not on the above ,thats just examples ,Go for it.

I'm nearly 100% certain that we will be going into the summer having won 4 in a row.

Back to having Parkhead as a "fortress" place for any European team to play at.

CL football, group stages at least and of course winning the SPL along with a few cups here and there each year.

Hopefully back to the early Strachan days and maybe a bit more?

I do trust in Lenny I believe he will take us to the next level, we have a group of young talented players who will only get better as a team. If he spends wisely in the right positions then I can see us as regulars in the champions league groups.

Domestically I cant see us being challenged for the next few years minimum.

We have a bright future ahead of us. :celt_2:

In the next 3 years - 4 in a row, at least one domestic treble, qualifying for CL groups regularly.

In the next 5 years - 6 in a row, another domestic treble, getting to either the last 16 in CL or further in EL.

3 years from now I would hope we have won 4 in a row, have got a treble and won the majority of cups in that time. I would also like to see us return to the period under Strachan when we came so close to getting into the CL quarter finals, getting to the last 16 2 years in a row. Surpassing that would be brilliant :icon_mrgreen:

Most confident and optimistic i've ever been tbh, I genuinely think in 5 years we'll be a force in Europe again.

The thunder has returned to paradise, I think the fortress is back and Barca, Milan, Real ect will * * it when they get drawn to play us.

If we keep all our young stars like Vic, Matthews, Forster, Forrest, McGeouch and the older ones like Hooper, Ledley and Mulgrew then we have the makings of a top quality team.

For all the talk about bottle and the disappointments we've had this season, just think these bhoys have been through all that - and also experienced winning - by the age of just 21.

If we've still got Matthews and Forrest and them when they're peaking around 25/26, then we're gonna be fecking awesome.

Especially since the financial fair play is coming into force. We have no debt, and no sugar daddy lumping money in. We are SORTED.

Great academy as well, we have an assembly line of talent with bhoys just waiting to come in if and when we sell anyone.

The future really looks fecking bright.

Do you have that thread mate? Would be worth a read :celt_2:

In 2016 I see us challenging in the last 8/16 of the champions league. Neil Lennon still in charge, Hooper, Stokes, McGeouch, Mulgrew, Forrest still in the squad.

Big expectations on the Europe here ,Have Celtic missed the boat and lagged behind in Europe .

A lot of Teams have moved on and made there mark the so called diddy teams that Celtic used to play off the park ,

Will Celtic catch up ,thats why I asked about serious money been spent on this Team to move it on.

I can't see us winning the Europa league or last 8 of the cl I think the finishing 3rd in the group maybe last 16 of the cl and last 8 of the Europa league would be more realistic

Sadly i think a lot will depend on what happens with Rangers. If they go out of the league i think it will have a drastic reaction on our finances and what we spend on our team. We have to stop signing players just for the sake of it. I like what Lennon said about only 3 in this summer. The 3 players must be of quality that they walk straight into the team.

My heart says l hope the board continue to back Lennie or any other manager that is in charge to help us advance to a decent level in Europe and be so far in front of the huns when they decide to start spending money they dont have again but my head says that after supporting Celtic all my life the board won't spend any more money than they can get away with.

In that Thread from then I said this ,

to be on there way to 5 in a row and making inroads in Europe

I really believed that simply because this was the start of the huns demise ,but * me why Celtic did'nt spend big to take them out back then is beyond me .

I really thought by now Celtic would be on at least 4 in a row because the huns were that bad ,Celtic * up badly in my view and I really hope that the Board now see this chance to dominate for years to come.

No more embarrassments in Europe. I really want us to build a bit of reputation over the next few years. There's no going back to who we were...we need to paint a new picture for the rest of the football community to see, and appreciate.

considering Europe i cant see us doing that well, it all depends how the Rangers situation ends up, without them our co efficient will be doomed.

We need one more than decent Euro campaign to kick it off. Football goes in cycles.
