If a semi final is a "big game" which it is. And we are "bottlers" for losing it then you have to include all the semi finals we have won under Lenny.

Today stung like a * make no mistake but we can't just keep calling games we lose "big games" and ignore the other "big games" we have actually won.

    STILL * CHAMPIONS!

I'm more * off at getting outsung by those inbred freakshows.

My youngest bhoys face when we equalised will live with me forever.

    Edit.

Be nice if folk came on after semi finals and said "well done, there is another big game out the way"

But no, when we win those it's because it's expected...

Poor team selections are Neil Lennon's downfall, I know he is 100% committed as Celtic's manager, but he needs to take a long hard look at why he selects certain players like Samaras and Ki for these key matches, both of them are BOTTLERS !!!

Samaras  have a * word with yourself.

Sammy has been brilliant this season, it's not Lenny's fault he never performed.

I had an awful feeling we would suffer a hangover from last week but it's not the end of the world.

there is only one team that has bottled it this season and it is not us it is the team that were 15 clear on 5th november and are now 18 points behind today.

To many of our fans listen to the * that is printed and spoken of in the media. We were the better team today and lost to some terrible decisions.

If that happened we would be moaning about not winning with enough style.

Samaras! So you don't think the new year game at Ibrox last year was a big game, or the Rennes game or Udinese away where he was the best player on the pitch for the first half etc. It's more common for him to get abuse for only turning up in the big games and not giving a * against the diddy teams.

I totally disagree. I can understand the frustrations. I am gutted about today and was so after the League Cup Final as well. But we have no real experience in our squad other then Majstorovic and our side is only in it's second year together. Facts are we have a very young team and indeed most of our squad is very young. Our coaching staff is equally young and inexperienced from a coaching standpoint as well. Sure we have blown some big games no doubt about it. But for me that is what you get with such a young team and coaching staff.
But equally for me I feel that both the players and the coaches are learning and growing and I believe that we have a team that can go on and achieve something truly great and special as a team.

We have grown this season and improved on what was a promising first season and as a result we are SPL Champions. We clearly have plenty more room for growth as a team but for me I am happy with what we have achieved this season and excited by my belief that there is a lot more to come yet from this team.

    Good post my friend.

You can be both disappointed but pragmatic in your approach to that disappointment.

Some folk need to take a chill pill and look at the big picture.

And BTW, if we are including Semi Finals in the "big game" category, then we have to include all rounds of knockout tournaments of which we have won shitloads.

    Agreed.

Folk should stop repeating phrases that are printed in papers; the contribution of a journo is similar to a pish stained jakey in your local boozer.

This bottlers patter is starting to twist my nips, it started very early on through the media (after Lennon took charge) that we could not win big games and the huns have latched onto like a leech. It's starting to spread through us also.

I'm * right off today, more so than the CIS cup, final and the Ramkers game at ipox, but do not consider us, for a second, bottlers.

We should have enough to beat certain teams in certain occasions, but bottling it hasn't cost us anything.

not bottlers but at least 3 players short of a good side, we have no drive and desire when things are not going our way i can take defeats but i cant accept lack of effort and workrate, sometimes i think all the team expect a moment of magic from someone else and dont take the responsibility themselves, but look on the bright side we are Celtic Supporters could be ............ nah f*%k that

:blahblah1:blahblah1:blahblah1:blahblah1 bottlers this bottlers that!!!! Some fans I think really haven't a clue!!!! we lost at Ibrox after we were down to 9 men in the first half. Today we lost a cup semi which we were very unlucky not to win Wow end of the world:87: Fair enough the Killie game was a mare but this is a very young team that needs a bit of tinkering and a young manager who I believe is taking the club in the right direction after taking over from that clueless muppet Mowbray. Im just surprised a "sack Lenny" thread hasnt appeared. :52:

If its not bottle then what is it.people keep pointing to when we were 15 behind etc.but let's not forget in that game against Motherwell we were pish and it took a bit of magic from paddy to save our bacon.

The players failing to turn up a good few times over the last 2 seasons is defo lack of bottle.from the defeat to Inverness to the sion games they have bottled it

    What he said ^^^.

Btw When did Celtic get the award of ,You have the Divine right to win every game ,Sometimes ,just sometimes ,Give the other team a bit of credit ,

Manager done his homework and his players stiffled some of our main players ,We got beat hey ho ,We are not that good as yet we just have to turn up and show face and the game is over.

I disagree, if they are consistently not turning up then it's due to lack of ability rather than bottle.

Interesting to go back to that Motherwell game, it was of course the beginning of our great run of form that clawed this league right back, there were several games we didn't really play well in over the course of that run, but ground out the result, that being the main point, we cannot win every game with flair and panache all season and if we don't, call that bottling the game, it's absurd.

We have to include every cup game in the big game category full stop as they are one off knock outs. Now, unless I'm having an acid relapse we have, with this team, reached 3 out of 4 finals and got robbed * blind in the semi today. These results have included a draw at Mordor with 10 men and winning the replay and totally destroying the form team (Dundee United) 4-0 at their place after they knocked out the huns. We also won the cup last year.

Those that suggest we are bottlers are beyond deluded. From where we were less than 2 years ago to where we are now is proof positive that we are anything but bottlers. We have won 55 out of 71 league games this and last season and this is the first of 4 cup finals we have not reached.

Btw I know its not you suggesting it in case it looks like I'm implying that:icon_mrgreen:

:50:exactly!!! I thought Hearts in the second half played very well and credit too them(still scum). Im gutted like anyone else but Im sick of the attitude of some of our fans that we just turn up and win. keep the "bottler" bollox for the hun meeja please.

In fact this mìght not be a bad thing either, show the "Scotland cant survive without rangers" brigade there are other teams in Scotland that can compete.
