Steven Gerrard Question

  1. Busquets, Sneijder, Fabregas, Kaka, Toure, Silva, Scholes, Lampard, Ozil, Martinez, van der vaart , Modric are all better players.

    Gerrard is overrated and has been living off one night in Istanbul for the last 7 years.

  2. How many of them 23 people have won more awards as a player than Steven Gerrard?

    If this thread was put to the real football pundits from all over the world this wouldn't even be taken seriously, your comparing players with real potential coming through the ranks to Steven Gerrard a nationally accepted 'World' class CM.

  3. He's better than lampard, sneijder hasn't been to good recently and kaka had one good season since then garbage. Busqutes fabregas and ozil are still young haven't achieved gerrards honours yet. But I'm sure fabregas will overcome him at his age.

  5. We are talking about who is currently better not honours.

    I don't give a * about what pundits think. I assume you mean the one's on SKY Sports who think Messi has to go to the Britannia Stadium on a cold wet Tuesday to be the best and believe the EPL is the best which it isn't.

    So forgive me if I don't care for their opinion.

  6. Busquets has won two Champions leagues, two FIFA World Cup Clubs, 3 La Liga's and 1 world Cup

    Gerrard will never get near that. I'm sure you'll take back the Gerrard honours statement.

  7. He's been average for a good while and as I said he lives off one game.

    He'd be lucky to be in my top 5 EPL midfielders right now.

  9. You've got Wilshere and Asamoah ahead of Steven Gerrard? None of these have won * all really, you can't put a player in the same category of Steven Gerrard who hasn't even won 2% of the things Gerrard has achieved, Asamoah, has achieved the following, he's 23 years of age.

    Very good footballer but better than Gerrard? Come on! Give me a break! What do you mean by 'better'?

    Does Asamoah have the respect of the team? Does Asamoah have the ability to lead by example? Does Asamoah have the experience of playing in a Champions League final and winning? Yeah he might have a few tricks in his locker and a fair bit of pace but that does not make him better than Steven Gerrard and the endless list of things Gerrard brings to the team.

    Wilshere? Not even going there.

  14. Well considering one plays for barca and one plays for Liverpool isn't really fair.:56:

    Has busqutes even been nominated for a ballon d'Or yet? Swap them about in teams and you wouldn't even hear about busqutes. Unless if it's about play acting and diving.

  15. Busquets would do a job at any club. Is defending would be an asset to any team.

    Gerrard would offer nothing to Barcelona.

    He turned Chelsea down when he has almost guaranteed a title with them, loyal to Liverpool.

    Not winning a title doesn't really mean too much, I could give you pages of players who haven't won a league title and would still make peoples 'World 11' list, you just hate Liverpool Maxa!

  17. Defensively in la liga barca have been poor alot of that could be down to busquets.

    And to say he wouldn't offer anything to barca is ridiculous.

  20. If you were to ask every major team from every major division, Gerrard even at his age would easily slot in the following teams IMO.

    Inter
    AC Milan
    Arsenal
    Man Utd
    Chelsea
    Lyon
    PSG
    Napoli
    Lazio
    Bayern

    Only teams in the world he might not get in will be the following...

    Man City (possibly)
    Real
    Barca
