Steven Gerrard Question

It was just to illustrate a point. That he might score more goals but it doesn't instantly make him a better player.

I agree with the defensive aspects but I still believe that Ozil and Silva are better players.

As I've said I don't think he's * or anything. I just think he's a bit overrated.

 

lampard i dont agree with gerrard has been better than him this season and gerrards meant to be past it apparently . so what does that say about lampard. scholes hasnt played much this season either

 

I know its bullshit. It took him 2 or 3 more seasons as well.

At his peak, he would have been top 5 probably. The season Liverpool finished second, him and torres were brilliant, he is still a quality player just now, top 20 in the world probably, which itself is no mean feat. Irreplaceable to Liverpool, he remained loyal to Liverpool, when he probably could of enhanced his career at Chelsea, you've got to take your hat off to him for that

 

Top 20 now, at his peak top 5. Hes always been better all round player than lampard.

 

He can only play half a season, these days. Few years ago, he was arguably the best midfielder around, but he's dropped far since.

Not even fair to put him in a top 30, really. Considering the number of games other guys across Europe play on a regular basis, and at a high level.

Certainly, 'on his day', as they say, he's still one of the best, though.

 

Won't hear * all from huim now for another couple of months.

Not consistent enough to be classed in the top 10 in the world ffs.

Always thought gerrard was a very consistant player whose goals come in bursts, not unlike Wayne Rooney when I think about it.
